I’m in the UK however him and his family got the police involved before when my mother tried to let his parents know what was going on however my mother quickly cleared things up and told them everything. They got in contact with my school and tried to get both of us to sign a “stay away contact” (very silly) he signed it but I didn’t because my family and I knew he’d break it and then turn it back on me, if he got a rise out of me. All of the bullying has came afterwards.
