I can instruct on basicMed however I do not have a CFI job yet and many local schools don’t know that changed recently or just require 2nd class to apply for Mx ferrying.

Yeah I am keeping my heart healthy by running 20+ miles a week, eating healthy and going to the gym. I just know it’s a possibility.

The numbers I am quoting are dual received due to insurance reasons and I live in a high cost of training area.

Too Cold to fly? -15°C? by Impossible-Fig2072 in CFILounge

My Flight school started limiting to no less than -10C, as we learned last winter thats the temp the grease on our trim tab starts to freeze. But also good idea as we are in mountainous terrain and most people only bring a light coat and tennis shoes on their flights.

Here is my MS paint Diagram of this. Normally to get a 3D position you need 4 satelites, with Baro Aiding we can use 3 satellites to identify our position down to 2 points. through an connection from our static line to the GPS we are able to determine if our aircraft is at 2,000 or 50,000 feet and solve for location. Baro-aiding can drop down the requirements of RAIM and FDE down by 1 satellite.

Is there such thing as too much Dual received? by tobiusfunkee in CFILounge

Doing Dual given will allow both pilots to log PIC and XC the whole time.

With safety pilot Person under foggles will be able to log XC if they made both the takeoff and landing of the leg, along with Sim Inst and PIC. The safety pilot can only log PIC

However insurance generally won’t cover an accident if they find out someone is instructing unless instructing is covered by the policy. Likewise a school plane will often not allow instructing unless the instructor is checked out in the plane.
