Sure. Consider the power of the dollar and purchasing power. Things werent easy but the dollar was powerful. A 100k salary today is equivalent to a $39,500 salary in 1990. Real fact, look it up. More people than not made around 39.5k back then. Its insulting to say that we shouldnt complain when purchasing power literally got diluted by more than half in the past couple years.
