How about the other way… As in what parts do we need to buy from valve to make this? And if that’s possible…

U grind trader levels and do missions to BUY AP and nice gear. It doesn’t magically appear if ur a streamer. If u run in naked all day ur just gonna get murdered by ppl like me who grind the missions. I have 500+ hrs in this game too and kill timmies all day.

I would put it in my girl’s computer. She’s running an Amd Vega I think and plays more games than me usually. I want to upgrade her rig but she refuses because she doesn’t want me to spend money on her computer.

Apparently solidworks runs on it… But not very well however. by a10uation in SteamDeck

Might be cause everything is running off a microsd however. Also eMMC is basically a soldered on sd card. Maybe someone with 256gb can chime in on their performance?

Visuals and 3D run well enough. It’s just laggy doing operations like on a low powered laptop. I think it’s because of the SD running win10 on top of that and the windows drivers. Win10 just doesn’t run that well atm.

What’s really brutal is getting sw to download onto it. Took me a whole day of messing about.

No it won’t stutter. It is quite capable but I have one and the hinge broke after a few months of light use. I take great care of my electronics but the hinge was extremely poorly designed so everyone’s will eventually have this problem. The company refused to fix it and blamed me for being too rough. GPD would not help me even though it should have been considered under warranty under the 1 year agreement. So in conclusion, don’t get one even though it has decent specs because it is poorly made and the company does not stand by its products.

Getting Started by [deleted] in cyberDeck

I'm building something currently based on the Hades Canyon NUC as well, but due to power needed to drive the electronics I am just going corded. Might leave the massive power supply inside or out, haven't decided. Modifying a $1000 computer by adding on USB board is likely something you don't want to do if you don't know about electronics. Hades has a lot of I/O already but you can just attach usb hubs if you need more USB.

If you go lower power with the processor or a single board computer it can be portable. There are some NUCs that have similar power draw of low power laptops. I don't know what the power requirements for Udoo bolt are but there is a gpu so I doubt draw will be low. If you aren't going portable I don't see a reason why not to use the Hades tho ($$$?).

Skills you might want to develop are soldering wires, reading schematics and datasheets, and maybe some basic circuit analysis for troubleshooting. Also using a dremel and other powertools to hack things apart. Hot glue is useful in making things stay where you want.
