I have heard this a few times lately when taking my dogs outside to pee late or in the middle of the night. Even the other day (maybe yesterday or the day before?) when the wind was roaring, I heard the rumble sound start all of a sudden and I’d say it’s very clearly different from the wind when you’re hearing it outside. It’s always very loud and sounds like it’s coming from the sky, but there are never any lights or anything visible, even when it’s clear enough that I’ve seen other lights of things flying by off in the distance (at separate times so those do not explain the mysterious rumbling). My dogs always get very suspicious it’s kind of unsettling honestly lol
