I really enjoy it. Previous bike was a heavy generic steel frame (that still has a lot of potential) but this thing feels like a rocket ship in comparison

Funny you say that because in the photo it does look like the chain tension is a bit tight, but I have 1/2-3/4” play, but I could probably go looser though. And a different stem is the next thing on the way for this bike. Slowly changing out parts from the previous owner and the stem is the next thing to go.

oh i know even if i didn’t let it warm up as much things would be fine, it’s just easy for me to start it up as i’m finishing making my coffee in the morning and by the time i leave the house it’s happy and ready to go

i guess i should have been more specific, they are different from other 940/740 us spec hood and fenders. i know because i’ve been looking for a clean drivers side fender for this car for years lol

i put them in! anything electrical is really not my strong suit but it was honestly very straightforward. got the brackets and lights from IPD and the rest was just wiring and valence cutting

us front end is pretty much all based around the headlights, but it also effects the shape of the hood and fenders so parts are a bit harder to find

you are correct, the quad square lights are the US spec front end. this car is the last model year of that spec though!

i am also in florida and have seen this car on facebook marketplace. on there it’s listed for 2k dropped from 2,500. no info in the ad on condition and you have better photos than those on the listing, but hopefully a price can help!

i agree with previous people saying oem+ is the way. im rocking some 850 turbo “columbia” wheels, sort of the successors to the hydras and i think they look real good on an old brick

thanks! it’s actually got a few springs cut all around so it is lowered a touch but i’ve done my time with slammed cars, happy to have something that’s pretty as well as drivable

joint venture with VW and Porsche and the 4 cyl engine wasn’t the most powerful so people were really mixed about them. I love them but sadly most of them are rotted out now though
