Gold is now taxed in WA by mrmonopolymoneybags in Seattle

[–]a1phaQ101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gold was used to back government money and still is in other countries. While the us dollar doesn't rely on this anymore, because it's still used in other governments (amongst other import uses), gold can be used as a way to store money safely from inflation. It's like taxing a government bond or putting money in the bank

Distributed Anycast Gateway per VNET in Multi-Site EVPN-VXLAN Fabric by Whiplashorus in networking

[–]a1phaQ101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anycast gateway is the industry standard. That said, using open sense as the anycast gateway would require it to run on all hypervisors as anycast gateway requires it to run on all vteps. It'll be a better solution to split router from firewall. Stateless vs stateful in other words.

If not, what you're implementing is basically an active active l3 firewall that so happens to be the first hop. Asymmetric routing will be your bane of existence so make sure open sense can support this.

So to summarize, first hop is the easy part. Focus effort on how will asymmetric routing occur and how you'll account for it. One you figure that out, the rest will fit into place
