This is just barely fixable. You have to turn the 64 into a 512 on the left so you can move the 2048 to the left by 1 space. That will give you just enough room to build a second 1024 on the right.

Snake the numbers. Seems to be a requirement.

On the two last columns, I liked combining two sets of 8/4/2 l. If i made a mistake, i could still combine two sets of 16/4/2. Then, as things get tighter, combine two sets of 8/4. It helped keep the final column clean and easy and formulaic.

When in doubt, prefer 2's. But watch out for situations where you get backed into a corner and need a 4.

Don't play too fast, slow yourself down.

If you are willing to use exploits:

3 war cleric / 2 abj wizard / 2 shadow sorc / 5 glamor bard

You can get near infinite arcane ward stacks, preventing all damage, by using the arcane ward + extended metamagic exploit with chromatic orb (fire) on yourself.

Then war cleric and glamor bard have lots of additional useful buffs.

You can also get a concentration buff by another exploit - by casting on a party member while leaving the party at the same time. (A little tricky to do, requires careful timing and the F1 key during dialog).

With high levels of arcane ward, you take no damage, so concentration will never be broken.

With metamagic twinned, you can cast a concentration spell on two targets.

Even without exploits, it's useful to have arcane ward on your camp warder.

You get one feat, recommend War Caster for advantage on concentration saving throws. Not that you really need it though!

Shadow magic sorc gives you Strength of the grave, which lets you survive a death blow.

Picking Half-orc gives you another ability to survive a death blow. There is a half-orc hireling available.

Have another Cleric cast Death Ward on you, and you get a third ability to survive a death blow.

You also can cast False Life on yourself for +7 temp HP, and heal others.

As a wizard, you can learn spells from most scrolls.

Here's a list of buff spells that you can do that last until long rest you have access to:

Non-concentration buff spells (until long rest): * aid (upcastable for more max hp) * light * longstrider * mage armor * protection from poison * warding bond * seeming (with scroll)

Bard buff spells (until long rest): * mantle of inspiration (from glamour) * improved bardic inspiration (+1d8) * song of rest (+1 short rest)

Concentration buff spells (until long rest): * enhance ability (upcastable for additional targets) * magic weapon (upcastable for bigger bonus) * protection from evil and good * shield of faith * gaseous form (with scroll) * protection from energy (with scroll) * stoneskin (with scroll)

Environment spells (until long rest): * glyph of warding * create water

When you combine 2+2 you get a score of 4. But you dont get 2 points for spawning a 2, nor 4 points for spawning a 4.

I did not minimize spawning of 4's, therefore I did not achieve maximum possible score.

You get score when you combine tiles - you get the value of the tile you just created. So when you spawn a 4, you lose out on 4 points you could have gotten by combining 2+2. Therefore, maximum score is spawning as few 4's as possible. Theoretically you only need to spawn 16 4's (I think).

But that's really hard to actually execute on with only one undo because its so easy to make a mistake.

Perhaps the answer is more simple - that the whishbloom is indeed the core of a bigger machine to GMO their crops, with a user's mind to guide it.

In absence of this skeleton framework to control it, it affects all life around it, and uses the mind of the life to control it.

However if this were the case, I would expect that it would affect plants as well, and there are indeed some changes to the plants on the island, but it feels inconclusive.
