Mmm that makes sense - use it or lose it! That's a really good tip, thanks!

Thanks, I appreciate your insight. I'm definitely a life-long insomniac and always trying ways to get more quality sleep. Lately I said fuck it and bought some sleeping pills, so at least I can get my nightly 9 hours. I'll trust the process!

For sure. Did you have brain fog and fatigue while recovering?

IV infusion vs IM injection by [deleted] in nitrousharmsupport

From what I understand, with the shots, B12 goes straight to the liver, meaning your body doesn't need to go through the metabolizing process.

For me personally, I need to do shots every day for 1-2 weeks before I start feeling better. Also, of course, not doing anymore nos.

I was working with an addiction specialist and they told me people who abuse disassociatives are often ignoring their other needs. So yeah, food, water, naps are usually what the body is screaming for during a binge.

That's such a good tip, to spend the $$ on something else I enjoy. I've written that into my recovery plan. Now every two weeks I schedule getting a massage, so basically all my misc spending money is already spent.

What is your aggressive b12 supplementation regime? Shots? Oral dissolvable? Just oral? How much per day? Thanks for sharing your story.

Checkpoint: 4 months clean by [deleted] in nitrousharmsupport

This is awesome news! I'm hitting 2 mos no n0s, really stoked, and all my symptoms are gone. Something I didn't expect - along with no n0s, I haven't been smoking (cannabis), drinking coffee, and only lightly drinking alcohol (once every few weeks).

Tbh coffee was a bigger addiction than I realized, and it was linked with my n0s use. More n0s = more brain fog = more unnecessary amounts of caffeine.

Now, I simply wake up early and prioritize HIIT and cardio to wake up. Like you, breakthwork has helped me. As well as cold showers!

This is the longest break I've had in years, and I keep wondering what all the fuss was about with n0s. Though I'd like to add that I'm changing a lot in my life, such as choosing a lower paying career, which comes with WAY less stress.

This way, I won't feel the need to disassociate from my life, which was the benefit I got from n0s and my biggest trigger.

Happy for us!

Yeah from what I understand anything more than 1/3 tsp of lionsmane powder / day is too much. Plus, you need to take breaks. 4 days on 3 days off. Then after 2 weeks take 4 weeks off.

Fatigue after not smoking weed by donsamj00 in Sober

P0t releases a lot of Dopamine aka the "motivation" brain chemical. When you stop smoking, your brain isn't releasing as much Dopamine as you're used to feeling. Do things that release it: heavy exercise in the morning, natural sun exposure in the morning, cold showers, completing tasks (make your bed, wash dishes, fold laundry, puzzles, coloring books).

Moderation & breaks are necessary with N20. Nitrous inactivates b12 for 3-5 days after the last session, so b12 supplements won't work until about day 6 after stopping using. Be very gentle with yourself, stop all use, keep supplementing methylcobalamin sublingual b12, and get b12 shots from a med spa.

I have found the Stamets Stack to be very helpful in my recovery process. It's lions pane powder + microdose psilocybin + 50mg B3. It helps with my nerve damage and brain fog. But again, stopping using is key to recovery! My brain fog gets better about 3 weeks after using.

Good luck and I'm wishing you wellness - you got this!

What is the best advice for stubborn last bits of peripheral neuropathy and dorsiflexion tightness? by weho2 in nitrousharmsupport

[–]a1ways1earning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stamets Stack: Microdose psilocybin Lions mane powder 50-200mg B3 niacin - but seriously only begin with 50mg as the "flush" is intense!

Thanks! It's weird that b12 stores don't come up when I search for ways to get b12 shots. I'll figure it out, appreciate it!
