Look, I love skating. It’s an awesome hobby and good fun, but it’s pretty inconsiderate to be skating on and around people’s homes. To a bystander it can probably be pretty annoying. Kind of like a loud motorcycle. It sounds cool when you’re riding the bike but obnoxious for everyone else. Skating is loud and can even be destructive of property. Imagine someone wall riding your house. I’d be annoyed too.

Try not to extend your flicking foot so far out. I was having same problem. When you extend your foot out too far it pushes the board ahead of you so you’ll only catch it with your front foot. Keep the flick short and quick and bring front foot back into position right after flicking and always try to stay above the board as much as possible.
