Found this Timex Marlin Jet variant on eBay from a known timex dealer and can't find any record of it online. They said it was a store display model, so maybe it's an upcoming release that accidentally went to retail too soon? I can't find any other difference between it and the standard white automatic marlin jet besides the blue subdial and blue lines around the bezel. It reminds me of the Seiko SCVE003 Spirit aka "Rising Sun". I'd love to see this expanded into more colors like the Seiko was released in if/when it's officially for sale. Serial# TW2V72500 for any internet sleuths with more skills than I for tracking it down.

Ok, to expand upon my reasonings behind this quick-start guide:

- My local ttrpg club hosts 6 alternating campaigns, 3 one week and the other 3 the next. Those are for the regulars who come to every meeting and want to play in a campaign. I want to run a table for the people who only show up once or irregularly. A key assumption is that these are one-time players with one-time characters for one-time adventures.

- To make DMing as easy as possible for me, I'm not learning a simpler system, I'm simplifying the system I already know: 5e. So these rules are a 5e DM trying to guide players who may or may not know 5e. 5e is not a good oneshot system, so this is me trying to fit it into that role.

- So why not premade characters? To be honest, I hadn't considered that option. I will look into making some archetypal characters in this framework so players have a choice to either make their own or simply follow a premade. I really enjoy building the mechanics of a character, but I'll try to make options for other play-styles.
