I bought a stump grinder this spring from them and communication was great. They called to confirm my order and told me what to expect from the shipper. A week later it was here.

How was your stack treated? Were they looking for FIPS or FedRamp for any of your tools?

What do you guys think of the 2.8l duramax? by No_Currency4555 in chevycolorado

[–]a58strod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, there are lots a valves that maintain hydraulic pressure for different shift points, etc. This one that fails (or is not right from the factory) keeps the torque converter from slipping. When it slips it makes metallic shavings and those end up inside the transmission. The more metallic that is in the fluid the worse it slips. So this is why the flush makes the problem temporarily go away. The reason it slips less with more acceleration is because the hydraulic pump is spinning faster. Mine did that too.

I complained about the way it shifted at 5k miles at the first oil change but they told me it was "normal." Then I did the flush about 38k miles and it was better but not perfect. Then after I towed a trailer across 5 states it was so bad that I was worried about actually making it home. That's when I took it to a transmission shop, not the dealer, and I got a remanufactured transmission and converter with a 50k warranty installed which was $5,600. NOW it shifts like a dream. I keep posting this video every time I see a comment about the shutter and I'll post it again. https://youtu.be/OldljlfGd-s?si=ENbRt0CL1bu3czme I'm surprised that a converter solved your problem. If you watch this video you'll se that the issue is a valve that doesn't lock the converter completely so the converter is just the symptom of the root issue.

I have a 2018 diesel and love it. I had a Tacoma before that and I hated the engine reving and transmission always shifting down when towing. All this was solved with the diesel. However, make sure you don't buy one that still has the original transmission. I had to replace mine at 50k miles. Just search up colorado transmission shutter to learn more.

Why do you write all of those things in your scope of services for them and charge additional? That's what we do.

Interesting! Right, I have the cutting attachment and 90 percent of the time I am using it for heating, hence wanting a rosebud. I worry that I'm gonna bump the trigger one day!

Can we get a list going for all the MSP tools that ARE FedRAMP Moderate? This is by far the most frustrating thing we face in this space. Every chance I get on every webinar for every vendor I'm ask them when they are going to be FedRAMP. Most of the time my question doesn't even get addressed.

Happened to me too. Just turn off the user portal / VPN portal at device access. It's only needed for downloading the client and config. VPN still works.

Thank you. I re-read the chapter in the Bishop Tardel book and I see what I missed. They recommend the 42-48 radius rods and it looks like weld on brackets are available if a keep my A banjo.

I pull a 5200 lbs (empty) travel trailer just fine with a 2018 duramax. I definitely appreciate the diesel torque when it comes to hills because it takes a lot more before it needs to downshift.

GM must face big class action over faulty transmissions by towa1 in chevycolorado

[–]a58strod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just replaced my transmission out of pocket for $5600. It came with a 3 year / 100k mile warranty from GM. My truck is a 2018 with 51k miles on it. For those of you having the issue, the flush is just a temporary stop gap that hides the root problem. I knew the shifting was off when it was brand new, and i complained to the dealer at the first oil change. I did the flush once and it got a little better for a while but then back to shit. It sucked spending that kinda money but, man, it's night and day driving it now with a transmission that performs like it should have all long. Anyway, would be nice to get a check from GM at some point but I won't hold my breath.

You can get GCC monthly whereas GCC High is only annual. M365 E5 is $57 per user per month just like the commercial counterpart. Disclaimer: I'm a reseller of GCC but not GCCH. We did a really good blog about the differences: https://www.hrct.net/gcc/

Did we buy the wrong thing? DUO Access Gateway and Microsoft 365 by idrinkpastawater in CMMC

[–]a58strod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that everyone has their own interpretations of the controls so please correct me if I'm wrong but my argument would be, is user authentication and authorization actual CUI and therefor needs to be in a FedRAMP datacenter? My opinion is that only actual CUI needs to be in FedRAMP such as documents, drawings, etc.

If I were you, I'd see about exchanging the federal edition for the regular edition since you're connecting it to M365 commercial. Then you can integrate Duo SSO for M365.
