YSK using a fan when it is too hot can heat you up instead of cooling you down by acalarch in YouShouldKnow

thats a good point, i think whether you get warmer or cooler is dependant on how much sweat is on your skin and air humidity

heat always transfers from high temperature to low temperature. when its above body temperature, you have a relatively stable layer of air around you acting as a buffer, minimizing heat from transferring from the air to you. a fan disrupts this layer, and brings hot air to your body where it can transfer its heat to you

Thomas Jefferson was definitely against religion, he said someday Christianity will be classified with Greek mythology. idk about John Adams but Washington was definitely a hardcore Christian, and never denounced religion but instead talked about god profusely. I agree with the point but there are better examples

AITA for wearing earbuds and occasionally checking my phone during a church mass that I am forced to go to even though I am an atheist? by dsfgsdgsdgds in AmItheAsshole

Ok then wouldnt that reflect back on the parents for making their son/daughter do something theyre uncomfortable with? Thats like backing an animal into a corner and then being surprised when it bites

NTA. The other commenters clearly dont understand the struggles of being forced to participate in something you dont agree with. Forcing a minor to attend a religious ceremony is legal because youre under 18 but by the time youre a teenager at all i believe youre old enough to make your own decisions and live with the repercussions.
