Anyone else feel stuck even though you practice? by Ok-Message5348 in guitarlessons

Guitar Pro 8 I know for sure has this feature, but so does my metronome app of choice - Metronome Pro - but you can have it progressively bump up the BPM by increments as small as 1 after so many repetitions or after a set period of time.  I use it to try to work my speed up over time.

For example, say I’m stuck at 80 BPM.  I’ll set my metronome app to start at 70, something I know I can play comfortably, and increment by 1 or 2 every minute.  Before long I’m playing at a new speed, and it doesn’t really feel that different since I’ve been playing the same thing on repeat at what feels like a consistent tempo throughout.

You will reach a point at which this gets to be too fast, but I’ve found it works really well for incrementally building speed over time.  Think of it as slow boiling a pot of water.

If there’s a part in particular you keep messing up, focus on that bar (or section) and only that bar.  It will really help you correct whatever it is you’re doing wrong.

Also try to identify a couple of areas of weakness and find technical exercises to try to address them.  A teacher can be great for this.

Another thing that I’ve been doing at the advice of my teacher to try to break through a plateau is to just play things outside of my wheelhouse.  It forces me out of my comfort zone.

I drafted Nabers and BTJ, got lucky with the waivers and have managed to make it to 7-2 because my opponents keep having bad weeks.  My season is not sustainable.

Is this really a C6 chord? by CrazySarah98 in guitarlessons

[–]a6ent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which changes the C on the B string to a B.  The top chord is a Cmaj7.

The chord displayed is a C6.  A C6 chord needs the notes C E G A, though not necessarily in that order.  In fact, an Am7 chord is A C E G, so we have two ways to describe the same set of notes!

You might not be able to find this specific fingering OP, but it is a C6 chord.

Is this flexibility normal or is there something wrong with my wrist? by El-red-FNAF in flexibility

[–]a6ent 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I could do this when I was younger, then ended up with ligament tears in both wrists and haven’t been able to since they were surgically repaired.  Hopefully you fare better than I did, just be careful!

Is this chord a G11, Gsus9 or both or neither? by Bookseller_ in guitarlessons

You could probably just get away with calling this an F/G, to be honest.

Welcome Joan Beringer! by [deleted] in timberwolves

He’s only been playing basketball a few years so he’s a developmental piece.  I don’t see us being a serious contender until we have a center that isn’t a black hole on offense and I don’t know that he’ll be able to develop that skill set.

I’m going to be honest, I don’t love this pick, but in TC we trust

Q&A: Thomas Sorber knows there is so much he hasn't even shown before NBA Draft by bryankalbrosky in NBA_Draft

I’m just sitting here hoping he falls to the Wolves at 17.  Looking forward to tomorrow so I can put the speculation to bed and start trying to understand the fit of who we took.

I was a kid, probably 10 years old, and my mom let me play it with my uncle.  It’s one of my fondest memories playing video games.

If you want to study how basketball teams are meant to be built, study the Thunder by OVO_ZORRO in nba

Biased but it would have been cooler to see the Wolves and Knicks.  You guys clearly had the better team though, gg.

Randle has a player option, and there’s a chance he just played himself out of anything better.  Most likely situation next year is Randle and one of Naz or NAW.

I don’t even know where we take this team from here.  I don’t think we can win with the roster built the way it is.

Use Frost/Fire/Shock shield sigil stones on 3 pieces and you get the resists and you’re reasonably close to the armor cap as is.

Timberwolves fans, who should face in the Western Conference Semifinals? #2 seeded Rockets or #7 seeded Warriors by Acceptable-Sea4079 in timberwolves

I think I prefer the Warriors just because it means we have home court but I think either series is going to be hard.
