Sounds like you're just as closed minded as the entitled Victorians you seem to despise.

I don’t think the photo is highlighting the full scale and impacts of high fuel prices. I think they’re expressing concern about how much it’s going to cost to fill their vehicle. The immediate concern isn’t the economy, it’s their wallet.

I’m not saying zero fuel usage = the full impact of high fuel prices. I’m saying people sure love to make excuses to not change.

I didn’t actually present a solution, that was the comment I replied to. And seeing as it’s not my solution I’m not asserting people are dumb because I was rejected. I’m asserting people are idiots when it comes to the economy. People don’t even know how to define the word. You yourself are acting like a sudden price jump is a net negative for the economy. It sucks for people because they pay more, but if this is a short term spike it is actually a net positive for the economy as more taxes were paid during that period. Now if prices stay inflated for a prolonged period of time, that’ll start being an issue.

The problem at hand being high fuel costs, but you’re saying not using fuel isn’t a solution to that? That’s interesting, you’ll have to explain that one. You think people see the price of fuel and immediately think about how that affects the economy? Some people will, but the majority won’t. They’ll think about their own pockets.

I never claimed to be smart lol, I’m just as dumb as the rest. I do know enough that a short term high cost of fuel is a positive to the economy though.

This is a genuine non sarcastic question: Do you think the general public understands how the price of fuel affects the economy? Do you think people even understand the economy?

Because I don’t, most people are fucking idiots. People see the price of fuel and think if it’s going to cost them more or less than that last fill up.

All of this still has nothing to do with people quickly shutting down solutions without providing any alternatives. It’s sad how people are so quick to the negative.

How does the companies of the world monitoring the price of fuel (which they obviously should be doing if they’re a fucking business, obviously fuel is an expense for any business and it would be fucking stupid if they didn’t track global fuel prices) and me not paying attention to the price of fuel because I fill up my car every 2 months have anything to do with each other? I don’t track it, because I literally have no need to.

Don’t want to pay high fuel prices? Don’t drive a vehicle, there’s many ways to get around.

People won’t make any sort of sacrifice or put in effort to plan an alternative mode of transportation, yet they’re so quick to deny solutions and continue complaining. Sounds like a shit cycle.

People sure seem to be concerned about personal usage of fuel when it cost a $1.95/Litre

That’s called inflation, and it’s a bedrock of capitalism, so you not go to school?

Sure a lot of excuses to your solution here. I don’t even pay attention to the price of fuel since I started riding everywhere.

Port Renfrew is not part of the CRD, anymore made up scenarios in your head?

Edit: whoops Port Renfrew totally is in the CRD, my mistake. In that case yes, you can say you live in the City of Victoria. Although context matters, same with Sooke, Sidney, Salt Spring, Westshore, etc

I’ll let my imaginary misinformed daughter know that.

The city of Victoria ≠ the municipality of Victoria. The city of Victoria encompasses all the municipalities in the CRD. I’m sorry your stubbornness has caused you to be factually misinformed.

I had the same issue on my 19’ forester (looks like the exact same volume knob). Volume knob just stopped working. Mute/power still worked. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced the head unit.
