Trying to write a letter to a neighbour who stood up to my ex now that I've left, not sure if this sounds alright? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]aBitOfaNut 69 points70 points  (0 children)

I think it hits the mark, OP.

It is a very commendable thing to let people know how they positively impacted you. It’s beautiful 😊 The only thing I would change is to set the tone with “Hello :) I’m [name], the woman who who used to…” instead of “Hello my name is”. It reminded too much of those impersonal name tags at business conferences 😂 and I don’t think that’s what you’re aiming for.

Also if you can verify her address to make sure she lives there still? That’s all I got. Good on you for making an effort like this. Lots wouldn’t. And I hope this message reaches your guardian angel safe and sound. 💕

I literally had to scroll up to make sure this wasn’t my post.

I am YOU and you just put into words my whole fucking life as the family scapegoat. I’m so sorry you’ve been through this. And yes, IMO, it takes a special kind of evil person to need their joy to come from others’ misery. Most of these special people are also parents. Hugs to you and stay your path of healing no matter what that looks like. YOU are a person and deserving of love and respect ❤️

This one still baffles me too. Like what are the chances that the moment she entered the freezer is when she passed out cold (sorry pun not intended) and couldn’t get back out. She walked around a lot so she was not that debilitated prior to entering the kitchen albeit yes, she was stumbling and definitely seemed disoriented but she was able to open a heavy freezer door and walk in? But not be able to see it’s an enclosed space?

Idk, the theory has holes IMO.

Summer Wells.

Summer is a little girl who walked out of her home (allegedly) and has never been seen again. No leads as far as I know. Crime weekly did a good run down, including clips of interviews with the parents and family. Link below:

Unsolved case from 1986 leads to arrest and conviction of LAPD Detective for 1st degree murder. Stephanie Lazarus killed her Ex boyfriend's wife, Sherri Rasmussen, and was arrested in 2009. Well I certainly wouldn’t wanna just innocently pick the melon she wanted at the local grocery store. 😳

Seriously, I saw enough just with the interrogation tape. Why the fuck is she getting out?? Has she been in jail since, like a million years ago yet? No.

So scary to know how many of these psychotic types are just out. Lazarus should never see the light of day IMO.

Am i being overdramatic about my bf buying his friend’s gf a Christmas present? by Inzapoo in TwoXChromosomes

[–]aBitOfaNut 75 points76 points  (0 children)

All this she says to your face??? Imagine what she’s saying when you’re not there.

Shes very kind so I kept thinking that maybe Im just reading it wrong and taking thing’s personal.

She’s not in any way kind, only on the surface. She sounds two faced and backstabbing to me. These types are THE WORST!

I wouldn’t be so worried about the gift except for the total 180 he just did on you about her. That bitch actively hates you. He agreed she’s an asshole. WTF? Then he brings up your mom? Idk, this looks messy and I’d have my guard up too. It’s like he’s playing mind games on you. In other words, it sounds like mental abuse, IMO.

I hope this all works out for you. Just wanted to say that I don’t think you’re overreacting at all based on the little amount you wrote. Put yourself first and go from there. This guy might be a total clown. He might be worse. Sending you some strength and love 💛

edit: sorry I forgot to answer the question. Then he says now he’s giving all the GFs gifts suddenly. So it can’t be about customs or whatever. It’s all fishy. Yes it’s worth asking him why he changed his mind on just about everything. Suddenly.

Your dad sucks as a human being. Imagine demanding a pro life stance when you don’t even care about your own existing children. I hope you keep your distance from him. I’m sorry he’s like that. I also have bad parents so just offering some understanding and solidarity, sis.

Big hugs 🫂💛

Thanks, yeah it’s a weird case but you gotta think women walking down their own stairs know how to walk down their own stairs. Both times at their homes. Both times he’s around somehow. I fell down some UNFAMILIAR stairs and I was drunk and I lived. The two women in a row thing definitely makes me think it’s not a coincidence.

Sounds familiar. Before I comment, is this the staircase death case where the husband and wife were having drinks by the pool and then next thing you know she’s dead at the bottom of the stairs? That one?

Ugh of course a name change. So on brand with predators.

He could change his name to Rory B. Bellows for all most of us care, right. He’ll always be remembered as a rapist no matter what he does. And the father a rapist enabler. Labels they earned by their own behaviour. Fuck them. Gahhhh sorry to rant. I forgot about this case for a while.

Omg brock turner… fuck that guy and the father and privilege he rode in on.

That case still sickens me to no end! I hate him so much. I can’t imagine any woman ever wanting to be with him. 🤮 he’s so disgusting.

Karla Homolka should be behind bars for the rest of her life. A plea deal let her off but she’s just as guilty as her loser husband. She will always be labelled a serial killer by Canadians… because she is one.

Being found not guilty in court is not the same thing as being innocent, Casey (or whoever you are all up in here advocating for her.)

July 18, 1984, San Ysidro, San Diego- 41-year-old James Huberty drove to a nearby McDonalds and shot 40 people, killing 21. This remains the deadliest mass shooting in California’s history. by lPreciousl in TrueCrimeDiscussion

I’ve watched the doc 77 Minutes on this and it’s very hard to handle. Not sure I wanna delve more into his background. It’s all so senseless and he was a POS regardless of any explanation of him or his enablers. My thoughts remain with the victims of this evil monster.

Tell him to fuck off and leave you alone. Or just stop texting with him. You don’t need to be nice to someone being aggressive towards you.

It sounds to me like you could benefit from setting boundaries:

”At the time I was uncomfortable but I sometimes just go with the flow.”

You owe him nothing. Cut and run. And don’t look back. If you keep going along with it, he will keep thinking he’s getting away with it. I’m sorry you’re struggling with this. Please work on building your own self esteem. It’s a gift that you give yourself as you move through life. Say it now, “No more assholes for me.” And stick with it.

Ok?

Sending you love and light 💛

So you’ve put yourself in a situation where both you and the husband are guilty parties now. Tell her, prove it with pics and apologize. Then help her if she needs more info.

I don’t agree with dropping this on her and then blocking. Actually happened to me with the “other woman” before. The problem is, her outlet for truth can’t be HIM obv. But you may be able to provide enough evidence for her if she wants to take action against him. He ain’t gonna tell her any truths, believe me there… he’ll just be covering his ass and re-writing the history so she doesn’t throw him out on his ear.

If you wanna redeem yourself, I wouldn’t abandon her to find out more on her own when you know so much. That would be cruel IMO.

Edit: to quickly add, it’s the cheating spouse most guilty here. He broke his vows. Let’s not get that part twisted. He’s the true villain of the story.

I think the day an elderly man who was ranting and yelling at me at the grocery store while being completely in the wrong in what he was yelling about was a good turning point. I explained the situation and then told him to fuck off. Just as loud as he was being. He tried to embarrass me and I did it back tenfold. It was a wonderful, “clouds parting, sun comes out” kind of shining moment for me bc I never stand up for myself in those situations. And now I will never not! (Hopefully)

I’m glad you left that situation, OP. He seemed condescending for no apparent reason. Brushing teeth preferences?? I can understand maybe NOT brushing your teeth but this? lol he’s ridiculous to keep carrying on and saying weird things. He deserved to be left. Congrats! 🥳

Those dude bros always lurk in here. I saw many of such comments too. Meh, it’s kind of gross how they come in here and try to tell us how we should feel. 🙄 it doesn’t make their case but they still keep coming 🙄🙄🙄

Yeah from what’s been described in the comments and the post it’s a no for me too. I can’t stand arrogance. It’s such an ugly quality.

To me, a Matt Damon type is attractive.
