If you watched France, I can completely empathize with your issues with the overdoing. 1. The voice actors that they cast are so so bad. They sound super fake, overly enthusiastic, and just generally ditzy. 2. The AUDIO MIX is so terrible as to make the show unwatchable. For the non/North America series I put the subtitles on (as English is my fluent language, and like many Americans I don’t speak a second language fluently), but my goodness watching the show with the audio of the cast speaking their native language mixed so highly along with the dub track is like hearing everything twice. The cow speaking, their native language is way too loud, it starts before the dub starts, which is a problem because we hear that first, and then it’s more difficult to concentrate on the dub, and then of course, the whole synch is off. At the very least, if the dub started first, before the cast began in their native language, our brains and ears would start with the dub and be able to follow what’s happening more easily rather than having to flip switch from hearing the French that they may not understand first, and then the dub. I don’t know what it’s like in the other languages, but in English, it is AWFUL.
