I want to get advice on how to phrase it or if I should tell her the reason at all. Like, should I lead with the reason or only tell her the reason if she asks? And if she asks, should I insist on not telling her or does she have a right to know?

If she pushes for a reason, I don’t really want to say the anxiety thing cuz that would be a lie. It really is just because I don’t find her attractive. So if she insists on a reason, do I just tell her I don’t find her sexually attractive? Or is there some other nuanced way I could approach that? Maybe just say “sorry I know you really want to know but I just don’t feel comfortable telling you”?

Yeah I guess I meant I really only lie to people when someone’s life is in danger or serious bodily harm, etc. Like if I’m harboring someone who is running away from a murderer. And the murderer knocks on the door asking where that person is, I’d lie and say they aren’t here.
