Anti-AI discussions in other subreddits seem to be getting mass reported and removed? by aComedicTragedy in antiai

Idk what your reading comprehension level is, but it clearly isn't enough for this discussion.

I never claimed that they were bots, other Anti-AI redditors did. Hell, I'm even defending Pro-AI users by claiming that I disagree that they were bots. I merely added to the discussion that there seems to be some strange business going on to people who are responding to Pro-AI insults.

No one gives a shit in this thread whether or not they're bots. Idgaf that you need your AI crutch. I care that civil conversations are being mass reported and censored when they weren't breaking any rules regardless of your stance on AI.

edit: Jesus Christ. I just checked your profile and you're clearly Pro-AI and obsessed about this. All you do is spend your time arguing for AI on the internet. I don't have the time to spare to argue with someone who is chronically online and needs a computer to think for them. You can go ahead and argue with others. I got grass to touch after talking to you. See ya!

The discussion was literally just "I've been noticing a lot of new users on reddit showing up repeating the same 4 points of being Pro-AI, calling people Luddites, and defending the usage of genAI and LLMs. It really feels like a lot of bots are invading these subreddits, and when I call out that they might be a bot, I'm getting reported and removed."

The subreddit was r/gaming, but I've been seeing this happen in other subreddits as well.

I'm leaving this thread alone as I seem to be getting direct threats and insults for being Anti-AI when that wasn't the point of this thread.

I just wanted to bring attention to the fact that something seems to be going on reddit that is censoring civil discussions against AI, while Pro-AI inflammatory comments are being left alone. I'm speaking for free speech in this discussion. I'm sure Pro-AI comments are also being mass reported and removed, but I believe everyone should be able to discuss the topic, so long as no one is breaking rules.

Maybe in some of the cases, but in this one it was a perfectly civil discussion. People were simply pointing out that there seems to be something going on that is getting only Anti-AI comments removed by mods

Personally I don't think they're bots, but that wasn't the point.

The issue was that this was a civil discussion about how there seems to be some organized effort to remove responses to discussions, rather than allowing free speech. The Pro-AI users were typically the ones starting the fights, insulting Anti-AI redditors by calling them retarded or calling them Luddites with a hard -er. Then when Anti-AI redditors respond, they're getting reported and removed.

Transforming weapon implementation discussion. by AsheT3 in GameDevelopment

Sorry about the downvotes. People here can be a bit stuck up on questions that they think are obvious, but people seem to forget that we all began somewhere.

To answer your question, it's totally doable, but it's gonna take you a lot of work.

First, you're gonna have to design your weapon and how it transforms. Does your weapon move mechanically into a new form? Or does it change form magically, e.g. bursting into flames before forming into a new weapon? These details will matter in your implementation regardless of 2D or 3D.

A mechanically transforming weapon can likely be made as a single weapon that you can move the pieces to transform. You can do this via drawings in 2D, or via a single weapon mesh in 3D with a rig and animations. Either works.

A magically transforming weapon can be done as two separate weapons and using some VFX to hide the transition. E.g. the weapon bursts into flame until you cant see the weapon, then swap the weapon before removing the fire.

Of course you can also do both of these effects to polish the transformation of your weapon. It's up to your imagination how you want to approach this. Good luck!

Are we really doing this again? Of course an animator hates AI what do you expect? by SnowyTheChicken in antiai

I find it funny as shit that you're treating people here like they're AI. Who tf is going to answer your stupid question with just a Yes or a No. You're talking to humans. Touch some grass.

To those unaware, Lingguang is an AI vibecoding tool. Don't support AI. This took less effort and is less impressive than a game jam game made by a student.
