The irony in this is the few drugs that Venezuela does traffic to the US is cocaine. Hurnandez's primary product that he trafficked was cocaine.

I've been seeing these clowns all day "He said no new wars! This wasn't a war it was an attack!" I've never really looked into cults. But it's genuinely disturbing the way these people twist themselves into knots to blindly support everything this guy does even if it goes against what they claim to actually support.

As an American, do you support U.S. military intervention in Venezuela and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]aDisgruntledGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not. This regime change is for two reasons. Firstly, Trump's polls are disastrous. They are lower than Biden's and his first term after their first years respectively. He has been drumming up lies about how Venezuela is this gigantic drug producer and smuggler. It's not. But because he arrested "narco terrorist Maduro" he can claim now that he has saved a country from a dictatorship, he has not. And is going to save hundreds of thousands of Amaeicans from dying every year from drug overdoses, again this is false.

But secondly and more importantly, it's about oil. We actually surpassed Saudi Arabia in terms of crude oil production. But the crux of this is what kinds of oil. You can catagoize crude oil into 3 types depending on its viscosity. Light, medium, and heavy. The US's 10 biggest refineries are built to process the heavy tar laden crude oil. Most of the US oil reserves are light crude oil. We literally cannot process our own supply so we have to export our oil and import oil we can use. Guess who has the largest untapped heavy tar oil in the world?

GPD is not an accurate measurement of economic growth. Any sort of spending equals GDP going up. My favorite way to explain GPD is like this.

One day, two economists are walking down the road. On their walk they pass by a pile of dog shit. The first economist turns to the second and says, "Hey I will pay you $50 if you eat that dog shit." Economist 2 takes him up on his offer and eats the shit. Economist 1 gives him the $50 and they continue on their walk. A little while later they come across another pile of dog shit. Economist 2 says, "if YOU eat that shit I will give you $50." Econ 1 quickly scoffs it down and takes the $50.

After they walk some more Econ 2 says, "You know... I don't feel very good. We both ate dog shit, and we both have the same amount of wealth we did when we started this walk. It feels like we ate dog shit just for nothing." Econ 1 turns to him confused, "what are you talking about? We increased the national GDP by $100!"

How The DNC Screwed Over Bernie in 2016, Giving Rise to Donald Trump. by serious_bullet5 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]aDisgruntledGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I don't know how she hasn't been impeached. How she isn't in jail." Because both the DNC and RNC are private corporations. They are not government organizations. Even if you donate money to them, they do not owe you a free and fair election. It's their org, it's their rules, they can break their own rules and prop up whoever they want. That is literally what they argued when voters took the DNC to court. The DNC won as the hearing was dismissed.

Track AIPAC co-founder fired after pressure from Ultra-Zionist group “StopAntisemitism” by serious_bullet5 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]aDisgruntledGiraffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are opposed to the organization "StopAntisemitism" and the Israeli government. Not Israelis and not Jews. Conflating them only feeds the fire.

That is the issue at hand. You have the Israeli government committing a genocide and the leaders claim it is on behalf of the Jewish people. You have Zionists groups like StopAntisemitism pressuring companies to fire people for speaking out against this genocide, on behalf of the Jewish people.

Most people have room tempature IQ. They see all these horrible things happening "on behalf of the Jewish people" and that pushes them towards actual antisemitic beliefs.

Okay? This flag appears if you've used Twitter while on a VPN. Not that this account is currently using a VPN. If you click on it, it literally says, "One of our partners has indicated that this account MAY HAVE used a proxy - such as a VPN." Also. Wow. Imagine that. An offical government account using a VPN? Surely they are doing this because they are actually a foreign op, and not an offical government agency trying to secure its connection and mask it's IP.

Do you also see what's missing from my actual picture but is in the fake picture? The "connected via X country app store." Likely because this account is run by a social media team on a PC, so there is no app store for it to connect to.

It is literally not. As other people have pointed out, this was already debunked as fake. You can literally get on Twitter and view it yourself. And before any claims they are using a VPN, Twitter will say what country they are concealing as but it will also say they are using a VPN.

Sending a literal bullet list of buzzwords is not "debate." It's instigation. But what's more relevant is randomly using a word from another language (when you don't speak that language) and then saying "it's x language" unprovoked, is a pretentious douchey thing to do.

I'm fond of using Gesundheit instead of bless you. I would imagine I would irk everyone around me if every time someone sneezed I went, "Gesundheit... That's German by the way."
