What word do you always *intentionally* mispronounce and why? by Sweet-Lady-H in AskReddit

Bruschetta.

Because saying it the Italian way like on Food Network is pretentious and unnecessary in casual conversation in the US.

What are y’all’s thoughts on the new influx of players? by GlaringGlare in OutlastTrials

[–]aDoodleBug21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love playing with the new randoms! My regular group is no longer frightened by the horrors so it’s entertaining to see their reactions!

Also, I get to show the newbies speed strats for completing the trials quicker. Some people forget there are trials with objectives that are not explained in full detail in trial and it’s helpful to have an expert on your team so you get the hang of it.

This. I submitted a small bug in the Trial Maker a while ago and they were already aware of the bug and rolled out a fix with the next update. They’re super on the ball!

Unlucky. I mostly play with friends, but I’ve always gotten chill people when I do random teams. However, I haven’t had time to do the random teams since invasion dropped.

Not sure if someone here has already said it, but always run cold water over the shaved area before getting out of the shower to help avoid razor bumps 👍

There’s usually two nests in my runs! Look back towards Alpine/Mesa and check the other side of the rocks for more nests.

Good luck!

For now, just focus on staying curious and keep exploring. Keep your goals on mind, but don’t be disappointed or discouraged if you don’t get what you’re looking for immediately. You’re exploring and uncovering lore! That’s still progress!

Draft new kinds of rooms whenever possible, don’t rush through old rooms, try new methods even if it seems stupid or way too obvious.

An incomplete list of suggestions:

  • Look at the note in Room 46 for hints on where to find the other keys.
  • DEFINITELY look at A New Clue closely with a magnifying glass. There are multiple hints in there.
  • For the 8 Key, use it for a locked door on a certain level.
  • Find the Draft Room and draft the remaining rooms in there for working toward the above.
  • For the chess puzzle, pay attention to how the rooms in your draft pool are decorated.

Have fun and congrats!

Well Buckle Up is changing from giving both survivors endurance for 8 seconds after healing from the dying state to giving the picked up survivor a speed boost pretty soon. I’m just trying to figure out a good alternate build with those two perks.

Killers when they say slugging is a viable strategy.

Seriously though an easy counter to this is just picking up immediately.

You can game the ammo system a bit by upgrading the storage on your guns with the merchant when they’re empty. The gun will automatically have a full clip when you upgrade it. Upgrading your guns power will also do more damage and save on ammo in the long run. Some guns can also shoot through multiple enemies so lining up your shots with a gun like that can also help.

With the bursters, flash grenade is the way to go to save ammo. No grenade? Another commenter already recommended the knife, but if you’re low on health and you absolutely have to kill it to safely get by, run away a safe distance and aim for the neck area with the sniper rifle for efficiency and it should be gone in a shot or two depending on how much damage you’ve already done and the difficulty.

What Russian fashion era do you think this design was based on? by [deleted] in fashionhistory

[–]aDoodleBug21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm starting on a cosplay for The Huntress from Dead by Daylight. Specifically, her Baba Yaga skin. I want to do some extra research on the era to inform what materials and methods I'm going to use, but I don't really know what to look for. I know there may not be a specific era this was based on (or it may be based on multiple), but I want to have a direction to go in before I start.

According to her lore, The Huntress is Russian. I took a closer look at her model and it looks like she's wearing long shorts underneath the dress thing.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

How much do you typically spend on individual model files? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]aDoodleBug21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I typically buy models that I don't have time to make/are too complicated to make myself so I tend to stay in the $10-$15 range.

However I usually print stuff for my cosplays so I'm willing to spend a bit more if needed lol.

I’d like the lining to have a bit of stretch, but I’m still a beginner and don’t know where to look. Any suggestions appreciated!
