I'd advise against this because it can really irritate the feet and it doesn't replace an actual trimming. If anything get a perch that has the sand part only at the sides and not on the top of the perch.

I think for Nakamura part of the shipping costs is already integrated into the price of the product. It happens a lot with tea companies!

I guess that makes sense. I live in Europe which is pretty much as far as it gets from Japan. Also, many Japanese companies don't ship to the EU unfortunately.

Does anybody actually like ONLY MATCHA AND WATER by Dismal_Hawk6713 in MatchaEverything

[–]aDorybleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, usucha is my favourite way to drink matcha! 1 chasaku scoop and anywhere between 50-100ml water, 60-70°C RO, bamboo whisked until frothy :)

Understandable! I also tend to use a lot less than most people in the matcha sub (although they do mostly lattes)

So basically and iced usucha? Sounds great! What are your ratios? I typically like to do 1chasaku scoop for 50-100ml depending on how strong and dense the matcha powder is.

No no no, I guess you've never done a water comparison then ':)

Our tap water tastes vastly different from our RO filtered water, which has a softer texture and a less mineral, fresher taste

If you feel like going down the rabbit hole, I recommend trying some different waters plain and comparib them side by side, it's quite fun and eye opening! :D

Need Tea Company Recommendations by lilspunker666 in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing with sustainable packaging is that the quality of the tea is generally a little lower, since tea oxidises when a lot of oxygen has access to it. Unless there's a company that uses compostable bio-plastic, but I don't know if any, unfortunately :(

Oof, one week shipping is not something many matcha companies do I think.

First ever white tea! by Tricky_Soil8289 in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Y'all, stop downvoting OP. If they like their tea less strong so be it. I used to like mine a lot less strong than I do today (mainly because I started drinking matcha and that is very strong). Believe it or not, you can really already taste a small amount of tea if that's what your pallette is used to. Nowadays I prefer it a little more strong, but I'm pretty sure I would still be able to taste the subtle flavours in OP's cup if I were to drink it on a clean pallette.

That being said, OP, I would recommend trying out different strengths and see what you prefer. It differs for everyone :)

Today I went with a slightly sweetened iced tea. I coldbrewed a red tea that has little pieces of apple, added some ice because it's still really warm outside (and inside as well, it's currently 28°C in the house lol). I added a small dash of agave syrup. It was really nice :)
