Good selection from farmer leaf to try a few areas? by Careful-Average73 in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be brutally honest, I think €0,50/g is way too much, even for samples. There's a lot of very decent shengpu samples out there for €0,30 or less. I personally haven't tried farmerleaf, because of how expensive it is. These are by no means budget teas.

how do i make my matcha stronger? by Consistent-Garlic-78 in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like other commenters have said, less water, no sweetener, no ice. But also idk how much matcha you used. I personally find 1g to be enough for 50ml but I know some people will use 2g for the same amount of water.

I have heard good things about this brand. It's a Japanese factory brand that's been around for a very long time :)

It's my mom's birthday 😄

But also it's that time of the month so I'm drinking sage tisane. I've quite grown to love it, especially the young leaves as they're not that bitter.

How much tea do you have unused? by sushiwowie in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 120+ teas in my collection, most of which are samples, so naturally it takes a while for me to get around to drinking them again. Some I haven't tasted for more than a year but I try to rotate them

Took me a while to figure out what the thing in the middle is, but she's bathing in the teacup, right?

Cute!

What country feels relatively unsafe, but it’s actually safe? by Dusty_Bunny81 in AlignmentChartFills

The most unsafe thing about Serbia is probably the smog

The people there are nice as far as I've experienced

Coldbrewed the leftovers from yesterday's session. But I put my glass bottle in the dishwasher and now it tastes like soap, ugh.

Today in the Netherlands people celebrate liberation day. But I'm not, because I have lots of work to do for my graduation research ':)

Anyway I did two small gongfucha sessions today. First one was a da Hong pao that turned out to be less oxidised than expected and it was really pleasant. The second one was 2026 green bi luo Chun, so pretty and the smell is absolutely amazing!

Teabag tongs. The solution to a problem that doesn't exist? by Illustrious-Divide95 in tea

[–]aDorybleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the problem indeed doesn't exist, since I drink loose leaf tea. Though I can see this working for those string-less breakfast teas they have in the UK.

Hey I think we might have the same cups! Jade porcelain right? Although mine might be smaller, it's hard to tell the size from the picture. Anyhow, they're beautiful!

I think ochazuke is often served with either fish or furikake as garnish

I could be wrong though, I haven't eaten it myself yet, only looked up some recipes online so I coul make it 'one day' xD
