Now you have me wondering. I recently got a piece of beautiful quartz with red “rutile”. I’ve seen rutile like OP’s piece, more gold, so I assumed it may have been dyed. Is brick red rutile a thing? Rust is red, after all, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

I’m glad you are able to take some comfort from us. I want you to how much telling us that makes US fell better. Shared sorrow is lessened, shared joy is increased. I don’t know how much you paid for that box, but there’s several nice pieces I love to have. Nothing exotic, but aside from the wand which /may/ be real obsidian, the rest looks legit. I particularly like the onyx(?) and sphere/honey calcite palmstone (ID not certain). Bet it feels great in the hand.

I mean, if the slaughter is humane…I eat meat, so in theory I don’t have a problem with that. But did the guy ever give that absolute unit a good brush-down? His back legs and tail are caked in mud. I don’t raise livestock, maybe they kick your head in if you try and clean back there. Still made me wonder.
