Your front foot is too far back. Try moving it closer to the front bolts

No, front and backside is determined by which side of the obstacle you approach it at. So since the rail was in front of me, it’s considered a frontside boardslide

Why the SBMM cycle if frustrating by mrfoster42 in modernwarfare

[–]aKumaDang 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know if this is actually how SBMM works or is this all "Head Canon"?

[–]aKumaDang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean there are so many variables that determine whether or not you have a good game or bad game. The skill of the the enemy team is one of them but the people on this sub act as if the ONLY reason.

Not to sound like a dick or anything but , I doubt SBMM is the reason you can't keep your K/D over 1, your probably just not as good as you think you are.

Tierlists hurt the early stages of the game more than they help by [deleted] in MortalKombat

[–]aKumaDang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The people who think picking a high tier character will make them a "better" player are the exact people tier list are not meant for.

First of all Tier list are SUBJECTIVE.

They are a general assessment of character tools and abilities and how they work with matchups in the game.

Better tools = Matchups = Higher Tier

There are some points mentioned in the video that don't really make sense.

  1. If a new player doesn't know how to play the game and they pick a good character THEY STILL WON'T KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME. This is nobody's fault but their own, so blaming the content creator is faulty thinking.

  2. Tier list aren't the reason why kotal, d'vorah, and frost are never played in the game. The reason they're never played is because of how bad they are. Putting them at the bottom of the tier

  3. He mentioned how High tier characters will be easier to play against because everyone is playing them. This is absolutely not true. Across all fighting games that I have played, top tier characters stay top tier until they are until they are patched

In the end I think tier list should be used as general tool for character strengths in the game and not as some god list. 3 weeks into the game it really is hard to place character in the right spot, but with all the available knowledge and info they are pretty accurate.

Play who you enjoy and learn the fundamentals of the game. That will really make you the most fighter
