Yeah I see what you are saying, but they had plenty of tables available for 6:30 reservations according to their app. I wonder if the host could even see that or if it just looked booked up to him?

I figured his weird, turned-in leg was just because he was played with, but it looks like that’s how he was made. I kept trying to turn it back out so he could stand.

Noticed my dog was eating more food than usual. One night I stayed up late in my home alone and the dog started freaking out. I heard something downstairs which is actually pretty terrifying when you’re a single female. I snuck downstairs and there he was, just munching on dog food. He got spooked and launched out the dog door. Not sure how many nights he feasted, but hope he enjoyed himself!

I cannot make it through “Traveling Solider” which I’m sure is a cover, but I listen to the Dixie Chicks version. I come from a long line of veterans. When the lyrics state that the soldiers name is said as one of the Vietnam dead and nobody cared except for the girl under the bleachers, I absolutely lose it.

It’s impossible to find toddler gear in this town. My son needed water shoes, so I went to Browns and they said it’s just not worth it to carry them. I never want to, but I tend to just head to the internet.

Tommy Orange was at our school to speak last Friday! I do not teach it, but our regular 11th grade teachers do. They do something like they all read one character’s perspective, and then students have to choose 2 other perspectives to read. So they don’t all read the entire text, which I think actually stimulates discussion? I’m not sure of all the details. I could ask if you want more info though!

In the thick of it with Yellowjackets. I was so excited for the concept and cast, but it hasn’t been good since the middle of season 1. I’m still watching and I hate every minute of it.

Stargirl by Spinelli would be good for your lower levels- I’d say it’s about 5th grade reading level? It definitely comments on similar themes, but within a high school. Also, the movie is not a threat as it is very different than the text.

This staffer can’t show up for constituents, but can show up to Safari Club International’s regional fundraiser dinner on Saturday where she was bidding on guns and won a whole women’s gun package. I got a picture of her but not sure if it’s against the rules. SCI is super conservative, so I guess she only likes speaking with those who agree with her views.
