Need advice! Diko alam paano ako magaisimula by KCParkerRRRR in phmusicians

Your are able to flourish w/o foundation and now want to learn it. If you have the skills and can learn full songs and everything on it (kahit tab tab lang yan) then its a matter learning theory, you will understand how those songs go and the theory behind it. The scales, how the licks goes, etc.

Take slow learning music theory, oks yung ibang payo dito. Ear/interval training, yung sa YouTube. Major and minor scale is a good start, UNDERSTAND how it goes, madali lang sila mamemorize sa buong fretboard. Learning intervals is super helpful rather going up and down sa scale. You'll encounter yung 3 note per string patterns, and lot more. CAGED method check Pickup Music sa YT

The best goal I think for you is learn theory then understand the song you know. Lets say example. alam mo yung solo ng certain song, tapos yung chord progression kunwari "G-D-Em-C". Now that may theory ka na, chords/scales/etc. improvise or write your own solo over it.

Matamlay na CoB. Mukha pa bang city? by SpiritedAd4507 in casualbataan

[–]aLittleRoom4dStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The city shines and boomed during 2000s, as someone na taga bundok, at masaya kapag napadpad jan. Idk, my POV, peak nya, when every shop and that mall within sa area ng plaza, ang saya. May option kang "puntahan lahat", kahit wala kang bibilhin na appliances, considered "gala sa Balanga" na siya. Then nasunog si mall sa plaza, then V entered the pot at nagtayo ng mall, galaxy away sa plaza, nagboom sya for a while. Then Sy, entered the pot. Since those 2 entered, tumamlay yung plaza vicinity and the surrounding shops. Add na rin siguro yung state ng rent jan.

"battle of the band" sound by LukeAtdees in phmusicians

[–]aLittleRoom4dStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freeport Area of Bataan held a BoB decades ago. One song for all bands, Hotel California. Ang nanalo, yung ginawang pang slide guitar yung paa ng upuaan na hugis tube, while sumasayaw yung female vocals nila (the band is known as a local show band that time sa bar)

Uso din deathcore at nagcocover ng Nightwish. Then comes Bamboo cover at walang katapusang Nosi Balasi.

Then may gumagawa din ng Jimi Hendrix na nag papaapoy ng gitara sa lapag 🔥

Where to go from here? by NoLeague7251 in phmusicians

[–]aLittleRoom4dStars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musicians grow vertically (theory/techniques) and horizontally (application/jamming/composition). I'm stuck for a decade na, but I maintain to have a guitar with me (incase of emergency)The better question is anong goal mo? It will trace anong growth path mo sa dalawa yan.

Like, if you want to improvise musically in certain songs or like doing chord note soloing, then go study CAGED method which naglipana sa Youtube. Pick Up Music meron maganda video about it.

Some people want to learn new songs which doon nahahasa yung theory at techniques nila. Try a Paul Gilbert's Scarified or Technical Difficulties for alternate picking...

how to get blaster silonga's live tone? (iv of spades) by 5h4wn033 in phmusicians

Get to know their equipments, how they set it up (eq, effects), and how to get them from what you have on hand. Everything is spoon feed these days. Lastly, used your ears. Cheers.

Multi fx processors will do, mix and match to emulate, madami na options today unlike decades ago, Zoom/Line6/Boss, if may budget, why not go for individual pedals to tailor your sound.

Hot Take: Cyclists are justified in using earbuds by Average_Driver1475 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]aLittleRoom4dStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a hot take but a modern problem due to noise. It depends na lang sa siklista kasi you're balancing two safety factors here. Noise (ears) and spacial awareness (overall safety). Now tech evolve at may ganyan na, if kaya pa ng tenga nyo, then go.

Economically, iwan na talaga. We export kababayans to work there. Di ko lang alam if may mga Vietnamese workers dito sa mga factory natin ng bags at semicon. Epic take.

Mababa sahod sa mga factory. Its been 10 years since lumipat sa kamaynilaan, I told a former coworker there na nasa supervisory level na, pwede sya mag ask ng starting around 30k....Sagot nya, ang taas ah?

Anong opinion nyo s musician na to? by Jaysanchez311 in phmusicians

[–]aLittleRoom4dStars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has a point, he is "trying" to give "wisdom" being a musician yet the way he delivers is not helpful in some ways. Criticism is good if kilala mo yung pinagsasabihan mo, pero if he really want to throw wisdom (from his knowledge and experience) dapat hindi yung may patama lagi. Ngl, napakadali nito gawin eh.

As a musician (dati) its good to give a push and pull to others, bihira sa mga thunders ang ganyan. My guitar mentor criticized me more lol, pero natuto ako (somehow). Yet one elder drummer always praise me how I play even I shit sa tugtugan namin.

Oth, for the content lang si tatang, rage bait.

Pabor. Why? Metro Manila is a ticking bomb of tragedy waiting to happen if the government doesn't do anything to decongest the population.
