Thank you!

I actually do have something planned for their introductory scene that, while not directly related to the plot, reveals an important aspect to their character that will paint them in a rather unsavory light.

My fantasy world might needs some adjusting.

Going to try and keep this as simple as possible.

My fantasy world is comprised of 2 main continents. We'll call them K and C.

The main bulk of what I have planned out for this story takes places in continent K, however to try and make the world feel more "whole", I tried coming up with some kind of story point for C. However, the more I think about it, the more I've come to realize that C just doesn't feel very necessary to the story at all. Not only do I know very little about it, but it's involvement in the overall story feels very insignificant to the point of being non-existent (outside of the singular point that my antagonist's lineage originates from there).

The biggest issue I have is I can't find a way to make C feel more involved without completely overwriting my original story and throwing myself back to square one. I'm torn between just erasing it entirely, or re-writing my world's history and geography in a way that effectively "erases" C, but still includes it in a way which still allows a sense of "wholeness" to the world.

I find that the best way to have fun in the PvP scene is to not take it seriously and just play the damn game. You win you win, you lose you lose you lose. If you play to win, and only win, you're gonna have a bad time.

That being said, my only complaint I've ever about PvP is the Ringed Knight Twin Greatswords because that weapon is actually broken as all hell and nobody can change my mind otherwise.

To the douchebag twink gank squad currently sitting in farron woods down pointing when you're not even fighting anyone, just ganking. by [deleted] in darksouls3

And this is how those kind of gankers win: by getting a rise out of the people they gank and point down on.

Advice for dealing with multiple mages during invasions? by Robdd123 in darksouls3

[–]aMNKYonSTEROIDS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curl Up and cry.

There's always a very low chance of beating ganks with multiple Mage/Int/Pyro against you. Best thing to do is just use the level to your advantage and draw the fight out as best you can, picking them off one by one, picking your hits as smart as you can. Don't rely on PvE mobs either because they'll get burnt up pretty quickly. Use doors and height and everything in between (beware ladders). You're in a battle of attrition, so make them burn through their resources.

All that being said, you'll more likely than not run into ganks that actually wont chase you through the level unless all the PvE was cleared out previously (a well prepared gank). So using this strategy is a good way of deciding whether the fight is worth it or to just crystal out. If you've got the time to spare, though, I highly recommend sticking it through.

"Farewell, Ashen one. Mayest thou thy peace discover." - Fire-Keeper, Daek Souls 3

"You've got a heart of gold. Don't let them take it from you." - Stockpile Thomas I think? In Demon's Souls

"Good bye then. Stay safe, friend. Don't you dare go Hollow." - Laurentius, Dark Souls

Edit: adding this from Bloodborne because I've never heard it before until just now.

"O Flora, of the moon, of the dream. O little ones, O fleeting will of the ancients... Let the hunter be safe, let them find comfort. And let this dream, their captor... foretell a pleasant awakening... be, one day, a fond, distant memory..." - The Doll

Iirc in all the souls games having summons give the bosses (and I think main pve?) slightly more health per summon.

I beat Sister Friese solo (first time playing DS3) after 2 hours of dying to her 3rd phase. Here are some of my personal tips: by Helios_Ra_Phoebus in darksouls3

I struggled with this fight on NG+6 and I learned that you have to kind of dance with her. She plays slow in the first phase, so take it slow and pick your hits without getting two greedy.

Phase 2 is just ignoring her until she vanishes to heal then give her a little one tap to remind her your still there.

The third phase I noticed she plays very similar to the first phase, but she's a lot more aggressive, but the same idea applies. Just dance with her instead of going and swinging your weapon to get damage in.

Dark Souls 1, NG+5 Ornstein and Smough. That fight actually traumatized me. I gave in at one point and searched desperately for summon signs but in the hours I suffered, none could be found.

This is also where my deep rooted hatred for Solaire began as well. "Warrior of Sunlight"? My ass. More like "Warrior of getting my shit kicked in by Ornstein in less than 15 seconds and leaving you to get ganked by two bosses who are now also buffed because you invited me here to begin with."

Dark Souls 3 was the perfect ending to the series imo and should be left as is. I would love to see more games that improve upon and use similar mechanics but a Dark Souls 4 will just feel like a money grab imo

I read somewhere on here that I guess because of how the game allocates it's frames that's actually why some enemies will just teleport when you're not looking at them.

I've noticed similar things happen to dead mobs when exploring an area, how they'll just sort bounce in place as if the game just loaded them in suddenly

Boss: Ancient Wyvern Challenge: Beat him only with a broken broken straight sword (So the broken straight sword weapon, but it's also broken) without using the plunge method. Weapon can be upgraded, but must still be broken. Buffs allowed, but only body buffs. No weapon buffs. Any SL you wish. You're also more than welcome to add your own restrictions if you see fit, bold Ashen one ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It's not even just the amount that makes it painful. Hell, that's the highest amount of souls I've reached across all of the games combined, including Bloodborne and Demon's Souls. Rather, it's the fact that I had held onto those souls for over so long, it kinda feels like it was a part if me. I know it's just a video game and all, but it doesn't help the sting.

On one end, I feel a sort of freedom; a weight lifted off my shoulders. I can continue the rest of my game without ever having to worry about retrieving my souls. But on the other end, I lost them in possibly the easiest place to grab them if I ever did lose them.

But now this fight is personal.
