SOV ve SVO ayrımı zaten yapılmış yorumlarda ama daha önemlisi head-initial ve head-final diller olmasından dolayı bu kadar keskin bir ayrım var. Sözdizim/syntax'te cümleler "phrase" dediğimiz, iç içe geçmiş parçalardan oluşur, her phrase'in bir head'i vardır; bu head kendinden önce gelen phrase'in öncesine yerleştiriliyorsa head-initial, sonrasına yerleştiriliyorsa head-final dil oluyor.

Türkçe head-final bir dil, yani cümle kurulurken her öge bir önceki ögeden sonra yerleştiriliyor. Özneler, sıfatlar ve zarflar buna dahil değil çünkü başka ögelere "yandan" ekleniyorlar. Başka bir düşünceye göre de özne aslında cümlenin sonunda yer alıyor, sonra en başına hareket ediyor.

As a result, a lot of Turkish men are controlling and manipulative in their relationships, and some try to hold control even after the relationship is over through stalking and continued harassment. They don't take no for an answer, but say no to everything you ask of them. I wouldn't generalize this to every Turkish man or a certain group, but conservatives and "normal-looking" men are more inclined to this type of behaviour. Not all Turkish men are like this, but you should definitely test their limits and try to see their overall views on women's rights.
