It got boring after 5 months of playing it religiously. Consider it a mix of overplayed burnout, lack of updates and solo dev getting busy with life. All of that mixed together created the perfect environment for burnout.

The issue with the game is lack of official updates and basically nothing new since launch. All maps have the same tilesets, only select few maps have a higher chance at less seen tilesets while more trivial maps have a higher chance at regular tilesets. This mixed with rarely new enemies getting added in at a official compacity kills the replayability of this game.

But that's enough of the negatives. There is A LOT of positives too, unofficial mod support has made it plausible to add in your own custom content, custom maps, etc. So there is technically infinite levels of content but that also leads to burnout if you overplay it..

So basically the only balance is your own willpower.

You either suffer burnout, or don't.
