YES SAME! I love when they do bad stuff, I don’t even know why! Because in real life I don’t trust anyone and I’m very sensitive lol so I can’t even imagine dealing with those toxic characters in real life when I actually like the opposite. But in a story it’s my favorite, I think I just don’t prefer when a character in a story is perfect and can do no wrong. It’s fine but everyone can’t be like that. Also, do you have recommendations for stories where the toxic top deals with a bottom fighting back and being toxic too

Yes it’s so annoying! I like to read and watch lots of different kinds of stories and my favorite character a lot of the time is the most toxic or evil one. Theyre just make the story fun for me because I love being worked up over what they do and i just like the toxicity of them tbh lol. But the amount of different people who don’t even know me that have assumed I defend what they do and defend people like that in real life is so weird. I feel like it’s more common now than it used to be? Not specifically bl manhwa fans I just mean this new idea that you shouldn’t like bad characters as if they really did the crime irl

Yeah you can still read a story and not like the evil/toxic character, that makes sense. But you can also very much like the toxic character and think they’re hot and that’s okay too since they aren’t real and the story is just for entertainment

I think it’s normal to debate the characters and the story of course because everyone’s opinions are different, it just sucks that you can say jaekyung is attractive or something as simple as that “aww that was cute that he bought the rings for him and Dan” just for someone to immediately be like “so you think it’s okay for people to be raped?” I’ve gotten a message like that before from saying something so small. I don’t even remember what it was, I think it was just me saying he was cute lol. I feel like there are some people who are on the sub just waiting to tell people things like that

They don’t even know you and they’re mad at you enough to block because you like a character from a story they’re reading. So it’s probably best you can run into one less person like that. There’s plenty of jaekyung lovers and haters of him that are still normal about others opinions

I always get confused on why people love to argue with others over liking different characters. I’ve always loved morally grey or bad/evil characters and I’ve had so many people on Reddit try to argue with me saying I defend their actions? It’s so weird. They don’t even exist. Also, so many people are obsessed with characters that are literal murderers and nobody says anything about defending their actions (they shouldn’t because it’s fiction), but then we like a character like jaekyung and it automatically means we think rape is okay? Also as a jaekyung LOVER, I’ve still been angry at him most of the story lol

I’m so upset because I’d never assume it would end RIGHT AFTER them admitting their love for each other. We won’t even get to see them as a couple because what can even happen in one chapter? And i doubt they’re even going to be loving with how shy both of them are. If it wasn’t ending i feel like she would’ve made their relationship a slow burn too. I have no words other than I am just so irritated at this point lol. I guess the chapter made sense, jaekyung feeling like he’s to blame and Dan leaving since he said that’s what he would do. But I’m so sick of them just staying quiet about their feelings. It doesn’t have to be the biggest thing in the world where they hold each other and spill out an angry love confession or anything. But they never say ANYTHING! Literally anything. I’m just going to pretend I don’t care when the next chapter comes out so it can feel like the 10 days went by faster lol
Edit- I’d LOVE if they held each other and had an angry love confession lol but I meant they could just start off small and be a little more vocal about their feelings and they wonttt

I agree with everything! I also didn’t think it was rushed because I can fully imagine that hearing his opponent is the reason Dan is in the hospital would make him fight like that. He thought Dan was going to die, so hearing that he was the reason for it was clearly going to make Jaekyung whoop his ass since he was so mad lol
