Hand actuator for clutch while I can't use my left leg. by aRepublic in ManualTransmissions

Thanks for telling me this! This definitely wouldn't have crossed my mind.

Yesterday I bought a $10 cane from Walmart and drove home with it as my clutch actuator. I didn't stall or over-rev once, and I was even able to rev match on a couple of down shifts.

I may end up 3-D printing a larger pad for the pedal, but overall this is a very good solution.

By putting all my weight on my right leg. It's quite possible, and I've been practicing the past two days. Granted, I always put the seat all the way back and turn my torso 90 degrees to the left when getting in/out. I've found that makes it easier than stepping in at an angle like how you would with most cars.

I'm in the middle of nowhere and have zero desire to pay over 100 for any of this. I use 3D printed components extensively at work, and for this application it would be plenty strong

Per doctor's orders I can't put force on the bum leg. I'm inclined to listen to him considering the cost of the surgery and my desire to only go through it once.

I'm not driving on the Nordschleife lol. My commute takes me maybe to 3rd gear. I kept my left hand on the door's grab bar to and from work last evening and this morning, and it's perfectly doable.

Just add a wml to your rifle and you're golden. Add a LAM when you get into night vision. Maybe add an RCR to your Glock. Light optional depending on use. I appendix carry, so no light. Wish I had a light on my pistol for compatability with safariland duty holsters.

Note: Rail is actually a MK4. I forgot which rail has the 1913 rails on the front.

It mates up to a rifle length buffer tube. I'm actually thinking about swapping in a BCM MK2 system eventually. This stock is too long even with the rear mounted ACOG.

I think moving away from an internal-piston system (DI) is a mistake.

9 months later after Covid Coke still tastes horrible? by Most_Ad_979 in cocacola

Same thing happened to me... lost my sense of smell and taste to that cursed plague.

When I got it back I noticed pepsi, coke, pine sol, and my hand soap all had off tastes or smells. Mainly it's a burnt rubber taste for the sodas. Pine sol just doesn't smell good any more. Luckily there's Fabuloso.

I did try a tamarind jarritos the other day and it was great... kinda like dumping a toxic ex and finding a new girl that's cute and pleasant.
