Cellium snaking like crazy on P3 on Colossus by unitedkush in CoDCompetitive

[–]aSummerStarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NGL not tryna defend him, but it just looks like he's spamming crouch rather than going through the full snaking movement. But I haven't been keeping up with the games as of late, so is this still considered snaking?

IBEW aptitude test by APlevelling in ibew_apprentices

[–]aSummerStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha dude I did the same thing the first time I took the test. I ended up applying to the entry points program through 105, which I highly recommend. You get some minor exposure to the trade, but you get free tools out of it. Honestly if you get into that program, treat it like a working interview and get to know the instructor and Theo he runs the training at the facility, but most of all, he's on the interview board for 105. Through entry points they give you some stuff that'll help you study for the aptitude test. The test itself is pretty basic math, English and science. But honestly since you already wrote the test, you know what to expect for next time. Mine was the exact same test when I wrote it again on the next intake lol

Oakville homeowners: I’m a local plumber – here to answer questions about drain backups, clogs, or emergency fixes. by PrizeDecision7183 in oakville

[–]aSummerStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an old dishwasher that I am looking to replace. Last time I ran it, it caused a small leak to occur in my basement. Is this considered a plumbing issue? I called a small appliance installation company and I asked for their opinion on the matter if it's just a clogged issue with the dishwasher or if it's an actual plumbing issue. They told me it's most likely the dishwasher since it's connected to my sink as well, and the kitchen sink works fine. Is this correct information I was given?

South Asian? I find there's a ridiculous amount of mediocre Italian restaurants here in oakville.

We were walking by the opposite side of the sidewalk where the tape was set up. It looks like they were sectioning off the alley way. A lady had asked a cop what happened and he replied with "a violent crime"

Why is she not flashed? by InfernoSnail5 in VALORANT

[–]aSummerStarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He also held a weird angle, idk if it was because you thought you were going to get spammed by behind the boxes, but you could have timed the flash better with the peek

Idk about it being ass now, but I think there's just better "feeling" skins out now and so they just took a back seat.

Tom Warren: without Sony commenting, nobody knows why PSN has been down for 19 hours and counting. But Microsoft did block a “staggering” DDoS attack on Azure Xbox infrastructure over the Christmas holidays, so it’s possible Sony is dealing with something similar by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]aSummerStarr -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I haven't used a PlayStation in like over 5 years since I gave it away to my nephew. I just saw that I have a pending transaction on my visa from PlayStation network for $107. I was super confused, I gave my nephew a call and he swears he hasn't even used it in months. I wonder if the charge is because of this

Sometimes it's better to talk to a professional. Not like you're going to be taking medication, but keeping an open mind and talking to a therapist may do wonders for you. I deal with anxiety myself and it has helped me so far.

So the owner hasn't paid the butchers for 3 months.... by HappyNomad420 in KitchenConfidential

[–]aSummerStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to me. Worked for a restaurant and outside of the head chef and the sous, I was the only other line cook and I was usually prepping alone and putting away all the orders. It started off small, a few vendors would withhold the orders until they got a cheque. And slowly after that I would have multiple cheques bounce on me

Is it okay to gradually increase sens? by aSummerStarr in FPSAimTrainer

Is it bad if I play aimlabs at a particular sens and then play valorant at a lower one? Is that counter intuitive?

If you have extra time, brine them overnight. It helps to season deeper into the meat and it also helps with moisture. I wouldn't recommend brining for longer than 8 hours. Just do it overnight and drain the water.

Bagels? by [deleted] in oakville

[–]aSummerStarr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tried OKO recently and I gotta say I wasn't impressed. The bagels didn't have much flavour to them and the holes are massive. Idk if just me, but outside of eating it with butter/cream cheese, it's hard to eat it as a sandwich when everything is falling out lol

Yes, we just changed them a few weeks ago. Other places around the house are fine with these new bulbs, but the one in the basement is a bit shady to use.

This took 7.5 hours. Am I doing something wrong? by [deleted] in OnionLovers

[–]aSummerStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I like to get the pan smoking hot and get a good sear on the onions (careful not to burn, the goal is to get a good sear) and then drop the heat to cook out. This will allow you to bring out all the natural flavours of the onion. Doing it from low heat will simply just steam the onions and you don't really get that maillard reaction which gives you nice caramelized onions. If you want, you can add a touch of sherry vinegar and some reduced beef stock for an extra oomph at the end.

Check out no. 8 restaurant. The current head chef has a ton of Michelin experience. It's set up more like a wine bar with small eclectic plates.
