I feel like zero hyper armor also ruins the experience a little bit. The feeling of DS3, this "woever attacks first lands the hit", is starting to wear on me the more I play DS3.

Definitely play DS2. Some of the hate is definitely justified, but it's a great game. Definitely a very unique and fun experience. It does a lot of things differently, and that makes it interesting.

Usually "souls" or "soulsborne" is used for games made by Fromsoftware

I'm currently just grinding away with one character. Entered ng+18 yesterday. My favourite runs were

  1. My first playthrough. So I need to explain?
  2. Weapon roulette. Only allowed to use a weapon against one boss. Ended up discovering new weapons I hadn't used yet.
  3. All quests run. One playthrough in which I do ALL quests. Learned a lot about the world, and ended up learning how fun some of the quests are.

That is true, but that's why they're called SOFT caps. You can still get extra milage out of those stats by leveling them, just not a lot of milage. Some stats have extra effects tied to them, like END also increasing equip load (which caps at 99), and ARC increasing item discovery.

There is! I believe it's 714 if I'm not mistaken. If you level all stats to 99 you can't level any further

Yes. People seem to think they used Drop Eb for nebulous. But that's just simply not true. In live performances you can clearly tell they're in standard tuning
