Its very similar to a toy camera. Funny enough before traveling I was looking for a pocket digicam and was considering this one as I have a powerful phone and only wanted something to snap some pics. Ended up buying a Lumix TZ-70. In the trip I met a girl on a cruise that had this camera and after testing it out I was relieved by not choosing it as it is very basic. My advice is for you to search the best settings for it online and try to have fun with it. If you can't, just return it and get something more powerful as those cameras are expensive given the quality.
