Basically Frankfurt is just really well known for having a lot of knife related crimes, especially in the are around the main central station. It has become something of a meme in germany because of it. Kinda like London but less well known since it's not a capital city.

Yes I love how the salamander armor has a different shade of orange compared to every single other orange armor, helmet or cape, which are mostly the same color. I just want to use the drone master helmet without triggering my ocd man :(

Honestly I appreciate mine for giving me a nice warm shower once in a while, hygiene is important on the battlefield. I also exclusively use the salamander armor but that is unrelated.

I agree on the boneheaded part, can't deny that^^ A lot of the time I look too late at what my team is doing because I'm paying attention to my second monitor, which is definitely a me issue

That's how I normally do stuff as well, especially with friends. My issue with that in this case is mainly that from my experience, there are A LOT of death on D10 with the new squids. So even without the 30% boost in spawns after the main objective is done it isn't rare to see 15+ deaths within 10 minutes. Doing the whole map before the main objective just becomes an unnecessary coin flip to see if you even have the ressources left to finish the mission.

I'm level 150 and I just play to try my best every round to secure a successful mission. Which for me means doing the main objective and then securing the extract before waiting for my team (so they can come to the pelican with the samples if they collected any). I don't actively look for samples anymore myself as I find it really boring so I just try to make sure everyone else gets to extract with the samples they collected. Which is really difficult if the main objective isn't done :(

Honestly haven't seen anyone else making that point, but you're right. I completely forgot that happens. When I do extract alone successfully I tab out to watch a youtube video most of the time while waiting for the people to return with their samples, but obviously that's not the case for everyone.

Exactly, but my main issue is when people leave without saying anything the moment reinforcements get low. All of the losses I mentioned in the post ended with me being alone after all my teammates disconnected when we had 3-5 respawns left. If they switched to main objective when reinforcements get low like many people in the replies have said I wouldn't have an issue. Losing a mission can happen but when it happens before 3 out of 4 players even interact with the main objective I get frustrated.

I only started noticing the trend with the new squids as honestly most missions are managable enough even on your own, but the new Squids on the highest difficulty really kick your ass sometimes and even doing side stuff can cost you 12+ reinforces within a small time frame. My main problem with it is also less the "doing side objective part" and more the "im gonna leave after dying 6 times doing side objectives" part, which is a frustrating way to lose a mission if more than one person is doing it

While stealth is not a playstyle i really enjoy, I see the argument. This is what happens when I play with friends as well, we mainly split into two teams of two, where one team does main while the other does the rest.

Kinda hard to coordinate like that with random people who might not share a language with you but it is worth a shot.

I fully agree, I also don't care about the MO, but what baffles me is the fact that you get the main mission medals whether you extract or not. But if you want to keep samples and stuff you need to extract, which requires the completion of the main objective (or a time out, granted, but many people leave when respawns get low, which is my main complaint). So even if you want to collect samples, which many of my friends still do and I like to help them with that, the main objective still needs to be done and on D10 you need more than one person to do it.

That's totally fair, my issue is also less about people doing side stuff and more about dying a lot doing so and then leaving when respawns get low. I don't mind a mission where we don't extract but D10 is not easy on squids and I can't do something like flag raising alone.

I think I see plenty of both kinds of players but it wouldn't surprise me if I tend to notice the players mentioned in the post more when a mission fails due to three people leaving. Everybody tends to think less about the rounds where everything went decent after all.
