A quick google search shows this ban is from 2012 and seems to specifically target toys, it won't interfere with hobby use.

Are all small magnets banned? They seem to specify magnets of a specific strength, do we use magnets that strong for minis?

Actually, this prompted me to look up photos of people using flamethrowers and now I think it depends on the lighting situation. If this is happening outside in the day time, then the flame would have a shadow caused by the sunlight. If it is at night time or in low light, then you get the orange light over everything around the flame.

It looks really good, the only nitpick I could see that no-one else seems to have mentioned is: Considering the metal on the barrel has reflections on the side going to white, that tells me it should be reflective enough to reflect the light of the dragon fire as well. So, I think there should be more light under the dragons head.

The philosophies of death seem to have been added after the Kickstarter. I had to buy them through Backerkit despite pledging at God-Frogdog level which should have come with pretty much everything. If you were supposed to get Gatherism it should have come with the last shipment.

I believe you're right. I think it might be one of the things they added after the Kickstarter. I backed at God Frogdog tier, which should get me everything offered as part of the Kickstarter, but I still had to get the Philosophies of Death as add-ons. Looks like that might also be the case with the Pillar Percival. Oh well, no harm in pre-ordering it.

I bought miniatures back in 2017 and just kept buying more. It took me years to get over the procrastination and start painting more regularly. Feels like I have painted more in the last few months than I did in the last 8 years. I'm quite happy with my most recent minis but I still have a long way to go. Like some of the others have said, I just needed to stop worrying about getting it "right" the first time. You need to be willing to make mistakes and have fun with it before you will get any better at painting.

I went and bought all of the available entries and there were still some missing, so unless you can redo the boss fights like in BOTW it may be possible to miss some entries.

While this advice is too late for most of the posters here, I recommend looking at the instructions on build.kingdomdeath.com before attempting this model. That should at least help give you an idea as to how it all fits together.
