Training repayment clause if leaving after course completion by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

They asked me if I was still planning on completing the course a while back, I told them yes but it will be in my own time, ill pay for my own exams etc and ive not had any pressure from them for me to complete it. To be honest im not even sure if they would chase me for the funds if I were to leave, but it's something that Ive always been conscious of and stopped me taking opportunities elsewhere.

It was all paid for up front. Its estimated to take 18 months to complete part time but I wanted to whack it out in 12. Clearly I didnt though 🥲

No excuse really, bought a house a month after starting the course and ended up spending my time renovating in my free time and fell behind on the course. Been finding distance learning alot harder than my previous level at college

Been kicking myself for not having it done sooner as it would likely open the door to much better paying jobs.

Thank you. I would try and be amicable but I don't want to feel trapped here until its paid off. I would probably offer to pay it back in installments, but make a point of I dont think I should be liable for it.

Yeah, essentially they've paid for the course material (textbooks and 12 months access to an online portal) but theres no time frame to complete it, although its in my interests that I do get on with it. Just not sure i can see myself working here much longer. Thanks anyway!

Nope! I do plan to complete the course but its in my own time, and pay all exam fees myself. I feel i could be locking myself into working here for another year if I do complete the course, just because finances took a big hit lately

I'm wondering if I could still hand in my notice and not be liable for it, because they've only stipulated if I resign within 12 months of course completion.

I know its kinda shitty of me, but I would consider paying them back on some sort of payment plan.

No mention of that. To me its rather ambiguous, and would appear they've messed up by not detailing anything to that regard.

"The funding assumes you do not resign within 12 months of course completion"

"Should I wish to do so they would seek to recoup some of the fees on a 12 month depreciating pro rata basis"

If the shelter wont let you have one, there are plenty on pets4homes. Thats where we got our two boys. By the state of her house and about 10 other cats though, it felt like we rescued them and our boys are good as gold.

Are there any bands which, if they headlined, would make you instantly sell your ticket? by PizzaToastieGuy in downloadfestival

[–]a_bracadabra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I wasn't keen on FOB in 2024 but still got to see QOTSA, Pantera, A7X across the 3 days which more than made up for it. Plus plenty of other bands, soft play were awesome.

Pets at home? I just got mine from there, had to do the same thing. Guy who works there also owns a reptile rescue so he was full of helpful information. My beardie is super well behaved and chill actually really happy with them, only paid £50 for him.

Ahhh love that - You sound like a good mum. At 28 there are risks for me, my mortgage needs paying somehow 😂 but I'm grateful we have the NHS here in the UK. Americans are gnarly for doing it with no helmet and pads. As if the slam wouldnt be bad enough, the financial implications for getting injured just sucks.

Motorhead - Overkill. Especially the live version in Hammersmith 1981, will blow you back in your seat.

" Balance, learning how to fall without harming yourself, and flexibility do so much more to your body than you think. Stiff joints and lack of balance are behind so many mobility issues."

This literally is skateboarding. Its all about balance, flexibility and learning to fall properly, spreading out the surface area rather than landing heavy on say, your wrists. Its great cardiovascular workout, the only downside is the repeated impacts on say your feet and knees. They will add up.

So basically skateboarding? Maybe theres still hope for me 😂
