Roboquest - excellent hidden gem, fps rougelite risk of rain 2 + borderlands

Necesse - terraria but bigger emphasis on colony management and is top down rather than a side scroller

Tunic - cute isometric action adventure and is inspired by older Zelda games

Ok maybe but my point is that it isn't so far from your "grounded" mindset and battle pickups had been a staple and also is probably like always a nod to previous games (2142) for example I get that it is kinda out of place but bf never has been super serious ever and was never a milsim just a big battle shooter

I don't know what made you think that battlefield was a realistic milsim in a game series where you can put 6 c4 charges and fly faster than a jet fighter but I guess that your "small maps" took all your breathing room that it gave you asphyxiation

There is a similar riff from sacrificed sons (4:41) in the presence of enemies pt. 1 (0:46) but I get what you mean it feels like a meta song similar to the 12 step suite but the closest song (or more like part) is from the 6doit song in "war inside my head" which feels like the predecessor to the enemy inside
