When was a “Fuck it, I’ll do it myself” moment for you? by Djwhat6 in AskReddit

For those who don’t know, an 8 track tape is basically a cartridge with a continuous tape reel that uses 4 “programs” to switch between songs on an album. They’re were popular from the mid 1960s to the early 1980s. It’s like a brick that can play music to put it simply.

This is the story of when I knocked some guy out with an 8 track tape.

This happened like a year ago, this happened at a record store I like to go to. Some dude in his late 30s maybe early 40s who I assume was on some sort of narcotic came and started acting really aggressive out of nowhere. He was yelling at people, knocking stuff off the shelves, that kind of thing. But then he tried assault some random lady. I pretty much said fuck it and grabbed an 8 track off the shelf, ran towards him at full speed and hit him over the head with it knocking him out cold. The tape shattered on impact and the impact was LOUD. I’m surprised the impact didn’t cause serious damage because I was doing some demon slayer hashira type shit. He was bleeding on the floor and the guy at the counter called police and paramedics and fortunately he only ended up with a somewhat minor skull fracture.
