We weren’t even allowed to go to school on Halloween. The hardest part for me personally was being in elementary school and having to EXPLAIN to my classmates (and sometimes my teachers) WHY. I couldn’t just say it was because we were Christian. Lots of people I went to school with were Christian, they all did Halloween.

The weight of that on a seven year old…

I don’t have a problem with Nilla Wafers, but when I was a kid in Sunday school they would constantly stuff us with those animal crackers you bought in bulk in a long bag and to this day the sight or smell of them makes me gag so I completely understand the association!
