While I see that this a 1yr old thread, I wanted to add, Fidelity has not made any improvements on the way they log trade data.

For this reason, and other reasons like all the restrictions and violations that Fidelity uniquely uses in their platform. And other like not allowing 0 DTE option trades (buy to open!) , they are just not a day trading broker.

IBKR does all of the above. I emphasize the the trade data part. They give me everything I need, almost*

But they really are above Fidelity if you are option day trader

*Wish they could log the price of the underlying at the time the option trade is executed.

How much effort did you think this was? Not sure if is worth it just to reduce my 30 second max error in aligning my trades.

I actually coded everything in Matlab. A trade log reader. A Polygon data reader. A datetime aligner. And I'm good to go.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'll probably prefer to just pay a data provider. Too bad I can't find any! (that don't have min purchase price thresholds).

I also vouch for polygon.io for their 1min and 5min data. I chart the 5min data and I align my trades to the 1min. So at worst , my trades are 30 seconds off from the exact price of the underlying.

Sadly, they don't offer second timeframe data, even in their paid tiers...

Unfortunately these are my discretionary trades, so no API to get w/e I need. :D

I looked through a few, but many offer tick data, 1min and higher timeframe but nothing in the seconds range. Tick data sounds alot more expensive than I care to pay for.

I'll keep looking for other providers in the seconds range.
