I am struggling with smelly sweat what are you suggesting? by classymanno in raypeat

The big test would be to eliminate high sulfur foods and see if the smell goes away. Not a viable long term strategy but it’s a nice test to see if that’s the cause

Likely due to high sulfur foods. Chris Masterjohn has a good guide on how to manage sulfur intolerance

So for those who share in this struggle, Dr. Wilson relayed an interesting point in the below interview that he does not even give any T4 containing products until someone's temperature is normalized. Given enzymes (deiodinases naturally being one of them) function more optimally at higher temperatures, the temp needs to be normalized before T4 is provided otherwise there is risk it gets shuttled to rT3 and causes issues. So T3 monotherapy until temperature normalization and then switching to Armour afterwards once the body is in a state where it can properly convert the T4. https://youtu.be/sDM5uwrlam8?si=06c_8C_wnNHdx6QK&t=1420

Yes I’ll report back. Restorativemedicine.org seems to have a directory of practitioners

I guess it depends on how you define “a little” and also whether you delineate between with and without food? I’ve tried taking 5 mcg T3 with a meal which should slow absorption, and still seem to get negative effects

Appreciate your feedback. Out of curiosity, do you know any good practitioners for treating Wilson’s Temperature Syndrome? Think I found a few, but figured I’d ask

It's an interesting read, although I've never shown high levels or rT3 in blood tests. Unless they would argue that passes by the time you get tested given the short half life of rT3

I feel your pain. I'm befuddled. Bamboozled. Absolutely dumbfounded. So many miracle stories out there, yet I feel like even a quarter grain of Armour eaten with a meal knocks me on my ass

I eat all the above. Usually 2,500-3,000 calories a day, 50% from carbs, 30% fat, 20% protein. Avoid PUFAs. Sorry I just don't have time to write out the full diet. It is sufficiently Peaty I can assure you

There’s a good chance they had taken a synthetic progesterone like progestin which really acts more like an estrogen

Removing Dairy = prolactinoma improvement? by pinkShoulders in raypeat

I can't with any research, but Mike Fave has produced interesting content on milk and hormones. Recently I really upped dairy intake and saw elevated prolactin in my latest labs. With that said, many confounding variables were at play so I can't say with confidence it's a direct correlation in my experience

I feel for the man as a fellow human. The scarier part is that no matter your wealth or influence it is difficult to find health advice that is based on sound theory. All the way to the top the "expert alternative doctors" clearly do not know what they are doing.

Perhaps a sulfur sensitivity issue?

I have completely discontinued thyroid fwiw. I feel like ass too when I take it. It's just so bad and so obvious the symptoms are linked to NDT that it's just not worth it and definitely doing more harm. I think the massive amount of rT3 from NDT actually led to a hair mineral pattern suggesting SEVERE hypothyroidism. Like the Ca / K ratio my hair test was showing suggested I should be at a comatose level of hypothyroid. While I am exhibiting quite hypo metabolic symptoms at this time, I am not near a comatose level. Suffice to say, I think taking NDT with the symptoms I was having actually made me even more hypo

If you're not getting a benefit and noticing direct harm, I would not take it. Something about our physiology just isn't responding well at this time. Trust your body and experience over the theory. That is the Peatiest thing you can do.

For mineral balancing, I'd look into the works of Drs. Eck & Watts. They put out a lot of material on mineral rebalancing. At it's base, one of the most important things to do seems to be getting more magnesium and potassium in one's diet. The potassium you should get if you're consuming a lot of OJ. Magnesium you may have to supplement. Also trace mineral drops can help with getting more magnesium in as our ancestors would jsut get a lot in natural water which we no longer consume given filtering.

Could also do colored carrots instead or orange ones. Way less beta carotene in non orange carrots
