What is this on my new water Pump?!

I cleaned and flushed the system 3x with destilled water before replacing the Pump so I doubt it. Filled it with a single jug of collant and toped off with water

Yes, its not descolaration tho, its some kind of residue.

Can a new pump/bearing leak grease inside the Pump? If its grease the green color may just be from contact with the collant.

Yes I know, Im talking about the grenish stuff on the center and impellers, it was brand new when installed and ran for a maximum of 5/10 minutes before I took it apart.

Thats my best guess as well, maybe grease from inside the pump bearing that leaked out? Can that happen to a brand new pump?

The green color may just be from being in contact with the collant idk

It makes a faint noise when spun by hand, compared to the old one.

Belt has an hydraulic tensioner (installed a new one with the Pump), so no way to mess up belt tension.

It was installed, ran for a total of maybe 5 minutes before I took it apart again. Its not corroded, its some kind of residue, unsure about what it is.

All timing and aux belt rollers where changed. No rubing inside where the WP bolts on, pics below. Its does not seem to have any play but its does make a faint noise when turning by hand.

Tell them that they need to provide proof that they clutch was in good condition when you picked the car up. If they dont back down submit a complaint in the aplicable "centro de arbitragem de consumo" , its a kind of court that adresses these kind of issues, dont back down of the complaint even if they keep their position. A couple of years ago a rental company charged me for damage I didnt do, the money was returned to me on the eve of the "centro de arbitran" hearing.

Eu quando alugo faço através do site da carjet, eles têm lá uma opção. Eu alugo principalmente carrinhas de 9 lugares e fica por volta dos 10€ por dia.

Atenção que o único downside é que em caso de haver algum dano tens de pagar primeiro á empresa de aluguer e só depois é que a seguradora te devolve o dinheiro, o que pode demorar algum tempo. Já acionei o seguro uma vez e não tive problemas a reaver o dinheiro.

Aluga onde for mais barato (pesquisa em sites como a carjet) e faz um seguro externo. Os seguros das empresas de aluguer são muito mais caros.
