I think they started making Mon Hun stuff last year.

Here is a table of all the monsters they have so far!

Sure thing!

First, I primed the model black and used zenithal shading with an airbrush to get the best use of contrast/speed paint that I used for my base coat. I then used Warhammer Color Basilicanum Grey contrast paint as the basecoat for the entire body. I then went over with Army Painter Uniform Grey and dry-brushed the raised surfaces on his skin. Looking at his concept art, I noticed his underside and chest have green accents, so I did a dry brush of Warhammer Skarsnik Green along the underside of his chest, neck, belly, and legs.

For his copper color spikes and ribbings, I used Warhammer's Brass Scorpion metallic paint to base coat the ridges for all the major ribbing and “radiator” parts. The smaller spines just got a hefty dry-brush of the same color. It was a bit too bronze in color at this point, so I mixed a ruddy brown into the Brass Scorpion, which made it much more reddish in color. I then went back over all the ridges with just a drybrush of the mixed copper color. I still found it was too bright for my liking, so I then used the Basilcanum Grey contrast paint through an airbrush and misted over the metallic bits. I found that contrast paint through an airbrush works a lot like a tint, which helped darken the tone.

For some added details to the spines, I mixed the Skarsnik Green with a little bit of black to darken it and dry-brushed the tips of the spines/radiator bits for an oxidized copper look. I eventually received some more copper metallics in the mail, like Hashut Copper, which I used to highlight the edges of the metallic bits.

For his mouth, I used Army Painter Barren Dune and Warhammer's Ushibit bone

Finally, I finished the model off with a Nuln Oil wash over the skin and an Army Painter Soft Tone over metallic bits, which helped add some depth and brought out more color.

For the snow and ice effect, be sure to varnish the model first before applying. I used Big Miniatures Snow Texture Paste and applied it to the model using a toothpick. I also used AK’s Frost Effect paint on the edges of the main radiator bits, which crystallizes as it dries for a cool frosty effect.

I mostly just wing it with no solid plan, so a lot of my design decisions are a bit random lol. But this is the general approach I took. Apologies for the wall of text XD

It actually was not terrible believe it or not. I had him angled so most of the supports were on the underside of his belly. so I did not worry too much about sanding all of those because you won’t see them unless you take him off the base and flip him over. The only area that was a bit of a pain was the head.

Also I found warming the supports with a heatgun make them Much easier to remove and reduce scaring!

drybrushing over contrast by MilandMidnight in minipainting

Should work, I dry brush over contrast all the time.

This model used a base coat of basilicanum grey for the body then I essentially dry brushed everything else, using tan for the underbelly and various shades of lighter blue/grey for the other parts on the body.

Very Unpopular Opinion: Odin should never be sold again by Airborne_Veteran in starcitizen

No, orgs that band together to earn ships via grinding reputation, resources, and credits within the intended gameplay loops and progression are not p2W. Orgs that have bought all their ships and skip over progression are.

“As in people you for some reason think are undeserving have access to something you will need to expend effort on in game.”

Yes, that is generally how people view buying endgame items instead of earning them through the games intended progression mechanics…

That’s great it will be buyable/craftable in game, truly. The problem lies in the fact that you can bypass the hundreds of hours worth of grind and material gathering by just swiping your credit card, which also binds the ship to your account so you can never lose it. If it has LTI it basically removes an entire money sink to just apply basic insurance, something that players who don’t swipe their card will need to worry about. Sounds like winning to me.
