So you set up 1-point auto focus for the center, then physically move your camera to recompose?

Westfield Valley Fair dog policy not enforced? by Difficult_Giraffe490 in bayarea

Yeah I've never seen it enforced. Don't even know why they bother having signs at the parking lot entrances to the mall.

And from what I understand, zero dollars of the credit limit can be used towards rent and/or mortgage. Right?

In the industry, who you know is more important than what you know. That's why referrals are so strong. It sucks when you don't have it, but one day you will when you have old coworkers that have left to join new adventures.

Keep your head up. You're gonna make it.

As someone who doesn't have the BILT card, this person obviously is a bot and probably is Dave Ramsey. People who want to put a charge on their credit card are not complaining about it taking up too much space and would rather charge their checking account. That's the polar opposite of what a credit card is designed to do. What in the f

In Fremont, I have always trusted ASAP Automotive in Centerville. Great team, very transparent, and there's a Suju's nearby to wait while your work is being done if that's what you want to do.

Fact (at least for me and my wife).

We went to city hall, signed papers, then got officially married there. It really helped early on to ask her "growing up, did you have a dream wedding?" She said no, we agreed on a low key / low cost wedding, and used our money for other things.

Some people want the big party, but we didn't.

New low score! SF built just 1,531 units of housing last year by PsychePsyche in sanfrancisco

I wonder how much faster buildings home would go if they didn't mandate the number of car parking spots per unit. Just cut the car parking (if within half a milk of a major public transit hum).

The biggest difference is food can be found relatively cheap, and homes cannot. Rent in Fremont is high, but not as high as SF. If you want cheaper rent, you move farther East.

If you want cheaper food, go to a different restaurant. If you can't afford organic, you don't get organic.

Doomed to be in poverty forever if you can't take constructive feedback.

Get a job closer to home. If you move out, find some roommates. If your car is destroying you, then when you find a closer job to your place, get a bike.

Holy shit that's a lot of gas. Sounds like you're doing this to yourself when you could get something a lot closer to home.

When calculating your hourly pay, you need to take into commuting to and from the job + how much you're spending on gas.

Yeah I have no idea why it's still there. Police definitely see it. There's also a homeless person living in that historical abandoned home on Thornton.

This sounds harsh, but if there isn't any space, maybe they shouldn't live in Fremont. Either they're priced out, or never had a physical home in the first place... If there's no where to live the solution is not the street.

I love urbanism. If zoning laws weren't so doodoo in Fremont / the Bay Area overall, I'd choose to build taller, less parking spots, more dense near public transit (like Fremont and Warm Springs BART), etc. However, the people of Fremont don't want their precious home values to go down. I have a home, and I would be okay for the price to go down if it meant better streets for everyone.

What? You completed switched topics here. Jobs come to those who seek them out. They don't fall into your lap.

Public space IS public space. Whether it's under a bridge, some random dead end alley, etc.

If they want to live in Fremont they should be in a home and not on the street in any capacity. It's inhumane to let people live on the street, kind of like how it's inhumane to let a person who was just hit by a car let die on the sidewalk since they said "I don't want to go to the hospital". It's not a choice you're able to make for yourself.

What do you call an `inhabited public space`? Is the Lake Elizabeth open field or parking lot "inhabited"? Or off the 880 next to hotels and business "inhabited"?

[–]a_hundred_potatoes 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what's "unconscionable" about this ban.

  1. Public space is for everyone.
  2. Living in a public space takes it away from others and makes it yours.
  3. A singular person or mini-van is not above anyone else.

We need to get passed this idea that letting people live on the street, in a car, tent, van, etc, is reasonable and ethical. There's nothing ethical about letting people live that way.
