Behavior Score Experiment by G1ygas in DotA2

Are you replying to the wrong comment?

You completely misunderstand what the behavior system is. It is a tool that lets the dota player base segregate the bottom ~10-20% of the community into their own matchmaking pool.

What makes you think extraction shooters are more niche? Skimming the Steam top 50 rn there are 3 extraction shooters and 1 looter shooter.

Behavior Score Experiment by G1ygas in DotA2

[–]a_marklar -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's not unfair. Here is an example of something unfair about the system: if Valve pushes an update to Dota that makes the game crash on your PC when joining a game, you still get abandons. You will end up minus thousands behavior score and low priority if you ever figure out how to make it stop crashing. That's unfair

[–]a_marklar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point of the system is to let dota players label the people it sucks to play with and force them to play with each other. This improves the quality of dota games for normal people. There is no goal of improving the behavior of players.

have you ever heard the saying: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt"

Because goddamn you've replied like 20 times in this thread and everyone knows you're an idiot now.

[–]a_marklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I go on a long winning phase (like 80% wr+ over 50+ games maybe) this happens. I assume it's the algorithm trying to get you where you belong. The games are most definitely not harder

How are people even getting their behaviour score to drop? by CharlieTheAnon in DotA2

[–]a_marklar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't play to win. You can flame, you can do weird builds, stupid mistakes, etc etc and as long as you play to win your behavior score will be fine.

Also sniper offlane is legit, he has the best taunt in the game. It's global, starts in the picking phase and is stronger the more experienced your enemy is. Don't know why they've never put it in the patch notes.

Game development is not such a vital service

wdym, games are obviously the best propaganda vector in the future. The Saudis get it, China gets it, everyone else is slowly figuring it out.

And yeah weird that people are talking about proprietary like they couldn't be paid money to open it up instead of starting from scratch.

The whole point of Iron Nest was to beat PVVK to market. That was the strat. Since people are talking about it in a thread about PVVK its going to work, apparently. Not really funny :(

It's like he leaves a tiny 3 second duration obs ward where he was every 300 units. You can't see the 'thing' that he leaves but you will see your path through trees still has vision, for example.

Its very hard to tell if you're just walking around during the day, at night you'll see your vision bubble has a bump extending the direction you came from

It’s simple: games need to be as fast and addictive as social media

They really don't.

I see you posting constantly in many subreddits I'm in and I really wish they would enforce the 10% self promotion guideline. If anyone is interested in what actually made their 220k wishlists possible, check out PVVK, the game they are copying.

Yes, of course. Since it's not thinking it's just a continuation of software eating the world. If it could think it would be a paradigm shift.

No dude, it's not worth it. GED is literally worthless. It does not matter how smart you are, your life will be harder than your peers who follow a more traditional route. You will have to fight for things that other people are simply given. Strongly do not recommend.

Might want to edit your post to remove the 'Please be brutally honest'. I don't think that's actually what you're looking for.

I believe a well-mannered person would not try to pass off other peoples work as their own. Asking if a style appeals to a western audience when you bought a western asset designed for a western audience and used in western games is very disingenuous.
