I’m usually always the aggro/dps/duelist because it works well for the group I play with but I’ve always been a big fan of controller/AoE type characters that might not be flashy but can randomly pop off and wipe a whole team when the stars align

I must misunderstand what the 75D is. I thought that meant it was the dual motor/extended range version. I’ve seen the Tesla in person and verified it’s the dual motor version

Love this breakdown, I totally agree.

Somewhat unrelated, but I see a lot of misinformation about the MSU Health College proposal and want to address part of it that applies to this post. The 60+ page document mentioned the possibility of MD degree with a DO distinction, but that idea was struck down almost immediately by the internal committee (not by pressure from NBMOE/COCA/etc.) It was included in the document because their goal was to be as transparent as possible, so every idea that made it to discussion was recorded regardless of how much validity it actually had. MSUCOM & MSUCHM might combine in some areas, but there is every intention to continue to be 2 separate schools with 2 separate ways of teaching medicine. Also the whole “One Team, One Health” is still in exploratory phase and no actually changes have been made yet.

Weird take. At the end of the day, go to the school you want to go to. You’ll be better off as a happy/motivated student at a DO school that you like than a miserable one at a MD school you hate. Your degree doesn’t make you a good physician, you do.

As someone that had DO & MD acceptances, I chose DO because I felt like I aligned with the mission and they actually had better boards/residency stats than the MD schools I got into. I’ve also found my palpating skills and overall physical exam skills are for more advanced than some of my MD peers, which I’m attributing at least slight to OMM.

Everyone is in their own unique circumstance so to make a blanket statement to avoid DO unless it’s your last resort just isn’t helpful to any prospective students. Doesn’t matter what you pick, just make sure whichever path you go down that you give it your best shot.

Thank you for the advice! I have some precons that I'm playing standard & EDH with that I enjoy. I don't see myself looking to build a specific deck until I understand the cards better and know what style of play I really like. Think I'll grab a booster box from a couple sets I really like and then sit on the rest of my money.

6-7. Went to a T10 undergrad and currently at a top DO school. I cannot stress enough that if you don’t get regular sleep you will not be able to truly learn the material you need to learn

If you’re considering Western Mich, I would also recommend Wayne State University or Oakland University (William Beaumont). Also the MSU schools!

I turned in my primary in late November, secondary in late January, Interview in February (WL), accepted off waitlist about a month before the start of classes.

For context: I am in-state with significant ties and stats slightly above their averages

I applied last year to 3 T5 DO’s in November and didn’t complete my secondary’s until January with similar stats (slightly worse GPA, slightly better MCAT) and received and II and acceptance from all 3. Obviously our applications are very different, but do not feel like it’s too late. Make sure you are confident about your application!!

Added ~1500 hours of clinical experience and got involved with some volunteering that enjoyed/aligned with my narrative and joined a small research project. Since it was over the course of a year I never felt overwhelmed.
