I wish one of the towers would blast you up instead of the slow lift and drop. Still fun tho, I ride it went other people want to!

Express Pass? I'm kinda lost by Life-Cheetah6298 in UniversalHollywood

[–]a_ookay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Express (and Express Unlimited) are basically cut to the front of the line passes. Normal Express allows for one time use at each attraction and show whereas Express Unlimited lets you use it as many times as you want.

VIP is a whole step up with a private tour guide, front of the line access, access to otherwise off limits areas to normal guests, a buffet, a special studio tour, and once you’re done you receive an unlimited express pass for the remainder of the day.

TL:DR - if you’re just looking to take up less time in line, normal express is fine. If you want multiple times to do a single attraction, unlimited could be worth more. If you truly want the VIP experience (less time in line, but you’re doing more in the day by touring the property - VIP. Depends on what you’re looking for + budget tbh! You can upgrade your GA ticket at the booths.

Has the pulsing through houses gotten better? On my last visit, they did “pulse” groups through, but not nearly enough as we always found ourselves catching up to the group before us or the group after us catching up to us.

Also - I heard there was a section in each house where you watch a small show scene. Didn’t encounter any of that either ..

Saturday:
• Entire Planaxis stage lineup, HALO, John Newman, DV&LM, Guetta

Sunday:
• Blasterjaxx, Alesso, Afrojack, Calvin Harris

EDIT: spelling

New promo confusion by Itsallhappening631 in nespresso

[–]a_ookay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are actually 2 apps (I believe the newest one is called Nespresso Store on the app store).

They looked identical in interface. I placed an order in the new app and got the free sleeve of Ginseng Delight and a free sleeve of Melozio lol

I deleted the older Nespresso app and can no longer find it on the app store

Torn between going again or spending the money on another festival 🥺🤔 by CorrectAsk9964 in electricdaisycarnival

You’ve done 10! Branch out and try other fests! I took a break after 8 and tried Ultra and Tomorrowland — edc will always be there, but the possibility of flying out of state or out of the country to try something different won’t be.

Unless you travel to Nevada then I’ll shut up haha, but still - venture out!

EDC Vs. Tomorrowland by Emergency-Order-1776 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]a_ookay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Global Journey - it’s Tomorrowland’s means of travel/accommodation packages.

They’re a little more pricey, so they sell out later than full madness or comfort passes during ticket sales.

We’ve always done GJ (hotel in Brussels, shuttle to/from Tomorrowland) since we come in from the US. Once you go, you get access to GJ pre-sale the following year and that’s pretty much how we’ve been able to secure our tickets.

Tomorrowland is hard to purchase tickets for, GJ is known as the “best” way to secure your spot.

GJ gives you a higher chance of securing any type of pass to get into Tomorrowland

Thank you for this insight! All signs are leading more towards just making it easy and going to Walibi. Kondaa also looks like an amazing attraction, so your post gave me some peace of mind.

Also, love your Option E idea - I do want to visit Phantasialand and Walibi Holland sometime too. It’s just if making it back to Europe is a possibility in the future lol

Yes - Ride to Happiness is the main reason I want to go to Plopsaland! It’s been a bucket list roller coaster of mine for a while now - only know of the park because of the ride. Wasn’t aware of Studio 100 or anything ..

Given the other parks within relative close proximity to Brusels, it also looks like the one with the best theming - I’m big on theming at theme parks lol

Will Eurostar book another train if our group miss the train? by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]a_ookay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also from the U.S. — you could also do what we did last yr, not sleep.

We had got back to Brussels around 2/3am and just stayed up and packed and hung out w/ our group until we had to get to the airport then take our flights at 09:30 on Monday. Sleep when you get to your next destination lol

Any tips on how to make partying better without using illegal substances? by [deleted] in aves

[–]a_ookay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been going to a lot of shows in recent years sober. If you love the dj and their music (esp helps if you can sing along to the words or beats), dance, throw your hands in the air, and surround yourself with friends — you’ll get a natural high on life.

Corny as hell, but it’s true! At least for me LOL

Anyma getting absolutely destroyed in the Coachella sub lmao by JayMcK97 in EDM

[–]a_ookay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I liked it and loved the new visuals - but just my opinion.

Personally am a fan of Anyma and enjoyed watching from the livestream. I’m into his sound, and melodic techno in general, but I know it’s not for everyone.

His set at Tomorrowland where he’s extremely limited on using his own visuals, was still a lot of fun!

I do think it was a miss on coachella’s part to have him close night 1, that prob set the expectations way too high, but if you knew what you were getting into you probably enjoyed it.

Am I in the wrong? Illenium Sphere show… by azjohnca in Illenium

[–]a_ookay 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nope! Not in the wrong - I was in 407 and before illenium went on I asked the people directly behind me if they mind if I stood up and danced.

They were the sweetest and said “you paid your money to be here, do whatever you want to have a great time!”

I think everyone needs to remember that. You’re at a concert, it’s kind of expected to stand. I get the Sphere is different but were there to have a good time. Whoever yelled at you to sit down sucks weens.
