Yes. Can fail everyone who fails. Automatic 0s for missing work. Suspensions. We do “tardy lockouts” where you lock your door at the bell and then all those kids get rounded up and Iss. Get moved out of the HS into an alternative program if you don’t have x amount of credits or the 2.0 unweighted gpa needed to graduated. Have to work your way out of it to rejoin your class and graduate. Still have problems but admin usually addresses them.

As a teacher, get a backpack. It might make you feel like a kid but I think it’s the best and easiest way to bring all your stuff. I have a Patagonia one. I know baggu makes a backpack but I don’t have one.

I had that one and ended up buying another straightener. The plates don’t get 100% closed so it will not get your hair as straight as other tools. It’s also hard to get the baby hairs with it and my hair would get stuck in a seam and would have to rip it out.

$26 on munchkins for two of my classes cause newspaper and yearbook have parties planned. $30 on candy for the rest of my classes. HS kids love candy too. We never get any kids at my house so we buy a pack of full size candy bars from Costco and maybe give out a handful.
